Jeremy Jeffress pitched the eighth inning of Monday's game against the Pirates, striking out one and not allowing a base runner. The Cubs won, 5-0.
Fantasy Impact:
Jeffress had not pitched since Friday, so manager David Ross was just looking to get him some work. His 1.61 ERA and 0.94 WHIP through 22 and 1/3 innings are a pleasant surprise for the Cubs and fantasy players alike.
