Adonis Medina had his contract purchased from the Phillies' alternate site and will make his MLB-debut on Sunday against the Blue Jays. (Philadelphia Phillies on Twitter)

Medina is one of the Phils' best pitching prospects and will make his Major League debut against the Jays on Sunday as Philadelphia fights to hold on to a playoff spot. He put up an unimpressive 4.94 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, and a 82:41 K/BB ratio over 105 2/3 innings in Double-A ball last season. Mickey Moniak was optioned to the team's alternate site in a corresponding move.
