Yoshihisa Hirano picks up the save on Saturday

Yoshihisa Hirano worked his way out of self-induced bases-loaded jam to pick up his third save of the season on Saturday when he pitched one scoreless inning while allowing three hits in the Mariners 4-1 win over the Padres.
Fantasy Impact:
Hirano was making his first appearance in five days as the M's had hit the skids and dropped four games in a row, rendering no opportunities until Saturday. He showed some rust as he gave up three-straight singles to load the bases with no outs to start things off. Hirano settled down in a major way by inducing a Jake Cronenworth comebacker, which was turned for a 1-2-3 double play; he then got Jurickson Profar to ground out to end the threat and the game. The 36-year old is a perfect 3-for-3 in save chances this year to go along with a 2.70 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, and a 8:4 K/BB ratio across 10 innings pitched. He is Scott Servais' preferred ninth inning man but the M's face a tough schedule down the final stretch so it's unclear how many save opportunities Hirano will get.
