Sam Selman picks up first save on Thursday

Sam Selman secured his first save of the season on Thursday when he worked a scoreless ninth inning, striking out one and walking one, in the Giants 6-4 win over the Mariners.
Fantasy Impact:
The Giants bullpen was in flux on Thursday due to the fact that starter Tyler Anderson was ejected in the second inning. The team also used six pitchers the day before when starter Drew Smyly only lasted 3 2/2 innings. As a result, Selman was tasked with protecting a two-run lead in the ninth and he did his job. Selman has been a solid real-life contributor with his 2.70 ERA and 1.02 WHIP across 16 2/3 innings but considering he never gets save opportunities and has just two holds all year, he's not usable in fantasy leagues.
