Justin Smoak designated for assignment Thursday

The Brewers designated first baseman Justin Smoak for assignment on Thursday, according to a report from MLB insider Ken Rosenthal. In a corresponding move, they claimed Daniel Vogelbach off waivers. (Ken Rosenthal on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
In 33 games this season, Smoak is batting .186 with 14 runs scored, five home runs, 15 RBI, and no stolen bases. Given that he is under contract for $5.5 million in 2021, he is unlikely to be claimed.
