Christian Javier (2-1) picked up the win, pitching six scoreless innings in Houston's 2-1 victory against the Mariners on Saturday. He allowed one hit and three walks while striking out five.

Javier's quality start righted the ship from his previous outing when he gave up five earned runs and three homers in Oakland. The 23-year-old right-hander has pitched well otherwise since replacing Justin Verlander in the Astros rotation. Through 21 1/3 innings, Javier owns a 2.91 ERA and 0.83 WHIP.
