Oliver Perez earns save on Sunday
by Matthew Adam | Mon, Aug 10th 6:34am EDT
Cleveland Indians reliever Oliver Perez got the final two outs of a 5-4 win over the White Sox to pick up his first save of the season. He struck out one in the outing.
Fantasy Impact:
Perez was called upon to slam the door on the Sox after a 46-minute rain delay knocked regular closer Brad Hand from the game. Perez has been a key piece in the Cleveland bullpen, posting 4 2/3 scoreless innings, a 0.21 WHIP, and five strikeouts this season.
