The Phillies released reliever Anthony Swarzak and then re-signed him to a minor league deal. (Matt Gelb on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
It's a procedural move. Swarzark initially signed a minor-league contract with the Phillies back in February. The 34-year-old is expected to be added to the team's player pool for the 2020 season. He posted a 4.56 ERA in 59 appearances in 2019.
