Tyler Heineman signs minor league deal with Giants

Tyler Heineman has signed a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants, after being outrighted by the Marlins back in October. He will look to fill the back-up role to Buster Posey once the season starts. (Tyler Heineman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Heineman only has 12 trips to the plate in his career at the major-league level, but has shown an aptitude for getting on base and avoiding strikeouts. In 1,004 PAs in Triple-A, the 28-year-old slashed .287/.353/.430. If Posey were to miss time, Heineman could be an interesting option in deeper OBP leagues or two-catcher formats.
