Adam Wainwright allowed two runs on seven hits over 6 2/3rd innings in the Cardinals' 2-0 loss to the Athletics on Wednesday. He walked one and struck out nine while falling to 5-7.
Fantasy Impact:
Wainwright's curveball gives him high strikeout capability on any given night, and in this game he combined those strikeouts with good command. Wainwright will pull the occasional good start out of his hat like this, but he's hard to trust with regularity. His next start comes Wednesday at Seattle.
