Anthony Rendon has been placed on the 10-day IL with an elbow contusion. He suffered the injury on April 20th when he was hit by a pitch. The move to the IL is retroactive to the 27th. (Jesse Dougherty on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
There's no telling what took the Nationals so long to finally put Rendon on the IL. He should have been placed there following the injury and he could've potentially been ready to return as soon as tomorrow. He now has a shot to return on May 7th. All fantasy owners can do is hope that he heals up quickly and this doesn't take any longer than it has to.
