Brad Peacock potential front runner for fifth spot in Houston rotation

Brad Peacock allowed no earned runs in three IP on Wednesday while striking out two in Houston's 11-5 win over the Marlins. It was another solid outing for Peacock this spring. Houston's beat writer Brian McTaggart now considers Peacock the front runner for the Astros' fifth rotation spot currently ahead of Framber Valdez and Cionel Perez.
Fantasy Impact:
If Peacock should break camp as Houston's fifth starter, his fantasy value takes an immediate jump well worth his current undervalued FantasyPros ADP of 312. In 2017, Peacock started 21 games for Houston and posted a very solid 3.00 ERA, 1.189 WHIP in 132 IP with a 161:57 K:BB ratio. In 2018 Peacock only started one game but still posted solid numbers as an often utilized middle reliever including a 1.169 WHIP in 65 IP with 96 Ks. With the possibility of breaking camp as Houston's SP5, Peacock should be treated as a late round fantasy sleeper in mixed leagues.
