The Cubs bought the Triple-A contract of lefthanded pitcher Jaime Garcia. He struggled with the Blue Jays this season but could help the Cubs if managed properly. (MLB.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Garcia may have many poor statistics from this season but the best stat for his usefulness is that left-handed batters hit .188 off him this season. He may not be able to be a starter or even a long reliever but he could make an impact coming in to face tough left-handed batters. Unfortunately for fantasy, this role rarely brings with it a lot of fantasy value.
