Aaron Slegers was called up from the minors for a spot start on Thursday versus the Orioles, earning his first win of 2018. He notched a quality start, allowing just one run on three hits, a walk, and hit by pitch over six innings. He struck out two in the 5-2 win.
Fantasy Impact:
Slegers had minimal major league experience prior to this outing, so there likely was not a great scouting report for the Orioles to take advantage of. It remains to be seen how long Slegers will be in the rotation, but his next start figures to be against the Royals. Start him if you are feeling adventurous.
