Lewis Brinson goes 3-for-4 with a home run in win over Mets
by Andrew Jerez-Fernandez | Sat, Jun 30th 9:37am EDT
Lewis Brinson went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored in an 8-2 win over the Mets on Friday. He went yard off starter Corey Oswalt in the third inning and doubled and scored when Cameron Maybin collected a hit.
Fantasy Impact:
Brinson badly needed a strong game like this one to build some confidence as he tries to improve his stats back to the point of respectability. He has a scary .187/.230/.348 slash line with 10 homers and 30 RBI on the season. The slash line is horrible and all he needs to do is cut down on the strike outs. Until he is able to show some consistency it’s best to leave him on the waiver wire.
