Pedro Alvarez puts the go-ahead run on base Wednesday

Pedro Alvarez went 1-for-1 with a pinch-hit single on Wednesday as the Orioles’ defeated the Mets.
Fantasy Impact:
Alvarez was called upon to pinch hit for Dylan Bundy in the eighth inning and managed to shoot a ground ball towards the Mets’ Rosario that he was unable to handle cleanly. Alvarez was then lifted for Craig Gentry, who scored the winning run for the Orioles. While he did contribute to the win today, he is still hitting a brutal .196 on the season, although he has eight home runs. There are likely plenty of other options on the waiver wire that can offer similar power with better average and playing time.
