Jacob deGrom placed on 10-day DL
by Nick Ritrivi | Rangers Correspondent | Sun, May 6th 11:05am EDT
Jacob deGrom was placed on the 10-day DL today due to a hyperextended elbow, retroactive to May 3rd. Originally expected to make his next scheduled start on Monday following his injury, the Mets opted to play it cautious here. He should only miss one start. (Anthony DiComo on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
This was really not a surprise despite initial reports deGrom would start on Monday. The Mets have had a horrible recent history mismanaging injuries and it made sense to play this one cautiously. Fantasy owners should keep monitoring the situation but it appears deGrom will only miss one start.
