Following reports this morning that Jacob deGrom's MRI came back clean and that he would likely miss around four starts, Mets' beat writers are now reporting that he is going to try to make his next scheduled start on Monday. (Anthony DiComo on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
This is absolutely shocking considering deGrom's posture following his injury last evening and news that his elbow was hyper-extended. Owners should continue to monitor this story, particularly in leagues that have weekly lineup locks, in order to determine whether he should be activated. Given the Mets' history with injury mismanagement, they make take a cautious route here, despite the breaking news and have him skip at least one start. Stay tuned.
