R.A. Dickey struggles Saturday night
by Steve Painter | Sat, Sep 16th 10:59pm EDT
R.A. Dickey didn't get the weather he needed for his knuckleball to be effective in the Braves' 7-3 loss to the Mets Saturday night. Over five innings, he allowed eight hits, five runs (all earned), and two walks while not recording any strikeouts. With the loss, Dickey's record on the year sits at 9-10. He will pitch again Friday against Ben Lively and the Phillies in Atlanta.
Fantasy Impact:
Nothing wrong with Dickey, he is just more effective during the warmer and more humid summer months. The Braves have not said how they will approach 2018 with Dickey but they do have an option on him for next year.
