Carlos Ruiz hits solo shot

Carlos Ruiz deposited a Sonny Gray fastball into the Yankee Stadium left field bleachers for a solo homer in Seattle's 6-3 loss Saturday against New York. He also singled, finishing the day 2-4.
Fantasy Impact:
The solo shot and single were Ruiz's only hits in August. The seldom used backstop was 0-15 for the month coming into Saturday's affair. Ruiz has appeared in only 45 games this season, logging a .213 AVG, 2 HR and 10 RBI over 108 at-bats. Unfortunately, his fantasy value has been long gone since his glory days in Philadelphia.
