Jeff Locke designated for assignment by Marlins Tuesday
by Mike Maher | Wed, Jul 5th 11:08am EDT
Jeff Locke was designated for assignment by the Miami Marlins on Tuesday, a day after what was a historically poor performance in which he allowed 11 runs in less than three innings to the St. Louis Cardinals. He had an 8.16 ERA and 1.78 WHIP in seven starts. (Tim Healey, Sun Sentinel)
Fantasy Impact:
Locke had one good start when he was activated off the disabled list in June, but he got steadily worse and did not throw a quality start in any of his seven chances. He was not relevant for fantasy purposes and will likely remain that way going forward.
