Matt Cain took the loss on Tuesday versus the Tigers, allowing five runs on seven hits over 6 1/3 innings. Cain also walked one and struck out three.
Fantasy Impact:
The outing caused his ERA to rise to 5.58 on the season. It appears his best days of being an effective major league pitcher are behind him. He can safely be ignored in fantasy.
