Michael Fulmer underwent an MRI exam over the weekend which revealed shoulder bursitis, according to Anthony Fenech of Free Press Sports. Fulmer received a cortisone shot, and he is scheduled to start Saturday against the Rays. (Anthony Fenech on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
In some respect, this is good news for Fulmer owners, as at least there is a reason for his last two poor starts. At the same time, any injury to the shoulder isn't good. If you're in a weekly lineup that has not locked yet, you should probably bench Fulmer, in case the team decides to place him on the disabled list. For now, however, there's no reason to panic.
