Junior Guerra earns his first loss despite a quality start on Saturday
by JP Gale | Sun, Jun 11th 1:42pm EDT
Junior Guerra allowed three earned runs on five hits and four walks over six innings of work against the Diamondbacks on Saturday evening. He allowed one home run, and struck out three batters. He earned his first loss of the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Guerra is 1-1 with two quality starts since his return from the disabled list on May 26th. During that span, he has a 1.99 ERA, a 1.44 WHIP and a 14/13 K/BB rate. The walks should cause a bit of concern, his 2017 BB/9 of 4.6 is significantly higher than his 2016 rate of 3.2, but he's been able to work around the walks so far. He's worth a spot on your mixed-league roster, but keep an eye on the walks and home runs. He'll face the Cardinals in St. Louis in his next start on Thursday evening.
