Player Note on Jeremy Chinn (S - WAS)
Chinn was excellent in Week 15, racking up five solos, two assists, one sack, and two tackles of loss. Chinn showed up for the quarterfinal round and should be able to produce at least at a DB2 level for Week 16, thanks to a plus matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Chinn should see all of the workload he can handle against the Eagles' rushing attack. He exploded for 10 solos and three assists against Philadelphia in Week 11. Add and start Chinn everywhere as a top-15 option.
Player Note on Ugo Amadi (S - NO)
Ugo was at it again in Week 15, tallying five solos, two assists, one sack, one tackle for loss, and one pass defended. Amadi has been on fire since entering the starting lineup after the Marshon Lattimore trade and has forced his way into the DB2 conversation. Treat him as such despite a neutral at best matchup against the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football. Add Ugo wherever possible, even if just to block your opponent.
Player Note on Kyle Dugger (S - NE)
Dugger was excellent in Week 15, racking up six solos, four assists, and one tackle for loss. Dugger has strung three strong weeks together and should be considered a DB2 option for Week 16 despite the tough on-paper matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Add Dugger where needed.
Player Note on Dane Belton (S - NYG)
Belton shined against the Ravens, exploding for seven solos, eight assists, one sack, one tackle for loss, and one pass defended. Belton got the start with Tyler Nubin lost for the season and made his case to be in the DB2 conversation for Week 16 despite the one game sample. He has another plus matchup on tap for Week 16 (as well as Week 17) and should be rostered by any manager looking for some added firepower for the semifinal round. Add and start Belton as a top-25 option for a tasty Week 16 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
Player Note on Isaiah Pola-Mao (S - LV)
IPM was solid in Week 15, racking up six solos and three assists. Pola-Mao has flashed at times this season but should not be on fantasy radars for Week 16 despite his strong production against the Atlanta Falcons. Despite being a starter since Week 3, IPM has registered just two spike weeks all season. Look elsewhere for your Week 16 DB3/4.
Player Note on Geno Stone (S - CIN)
Geno Stone was excellent in Week 15, racking up one solo, four assists, one interception, one pass defended, and one touchdown. Stone has been a disappointment on the season as a whole but is starting to heat up at the right time for fantasy managers. He has an interception in each of his last two games, including this past week's pick six, and is set to square off against Dorian Thompson-Robinson in a tasty Week 16 matchup. Stone has DB2 value due to the matchup and his recent play, but is better utilized as a DB3 if possible. Start Stone everywhere as a plus DB2/3 option.
Player Note on Jaden Hicks (S - KC)
Hicks was excellent in Week 15, filling in for the injured Chamarri Conner, racking up three solos, one tackle for loss, one interception, and one pass defended. Hicks does not have the tackle upside Conner offers but should still be a serviceable option for those with a Conner-sized hole in their lineup. Like Chamarri, Hicks has CB and S eligibility and is playing a high-leverage slot role. Tap Hicks where needed as a DB3/4 option for Week 16, thanks to a plus matchup against the Houston Texans.
Player Note on Bryan Cook (S - KC)
Cook showed up in Week 15, tallying three solos, one tackle for loss, one interception, and one pass defended in the pick fest against Jameis Winston. Cook has not shown much this season, recording just three fantasy outputs of note, with this being his first since Week 5. Suffice it today that Cook should not be a fantasy consideration in any realm or league size despite the Jameis-fueled Week 15 production. Look elsewhere for Week 16 despite the plus matchup against the Houston Texans.
Player Note on DeAngelo Malone (DE - ATL)
DeAngelo showed up in Week 15, reeling off two solos, two sacks, and two tackles for loss. The Falcons have been waiting for Malone to show enough to be an option on something other than special teams and finally gave him a role, albeit a small one in Week 15. He played a season high 21 percent of the snaps after being held to eight snaps or less since Week 9, when he played 30 percent of the defensive snaps. DeAngelo finally showed enough to earn an expanded role but is nowhere close to being an option for semifinals week. 21 percent of the snaps, even expanded based on his Week 16 success, leaves us in prohibitive risk territory with the playoffs here. Even those in 20 team leagues will want to look elsewhere for their Week 16 DL3/4.
Player Note on Micah Parsons (LB - DAL)
Parsons was excellent in Week 15, tallying three solos, one assist, two sacks, and two tackles for loss. Micah has recorded 5.5 sacks in his last four games and seven in his last six. Start Parsons as a top-three option for Week 16.
News Reaction on Mark Ingram II (RB - FA) - Mark Ingram suspended four games for PEDs
With the surprise news coming out regarding Mark Ingram's suspension Alvin Kamara needs to be moved up draft boards. Already in the first round conversation Ingram's ban has solidified Kamara as a top five option at running back and should propel him to at least 1,000 yards on the ground. With the Saints claiming they knew about the suspension possibility prior to the draft and that they will not be adding a street agent former Bill Jonathan Williams is the favorite to spell Kamara until week 5
News Reaction on C.J. Anderson (RB - FA) - C.J. Anderson signs with Panthers
The Carolina Panthers made a shrewd move in picking up recently released CJ Anderson from the Denver Broncos after failing to add a starter in the NFL draft. Fresh off his first career 1,000 yard rushing campaign CJ will look to assume the Stewart role in Norv Turner's offense and should push for RB2 numbers this season. His PPR ceiling is limited by the presence of Christian McCaffrey but the 5'8, 228 lbs back should push for 1,000 yards and 7 plus rushing touchdowns for the 2018 campaign.
