About The Role
FantasyPros is seeking a Data Scientist to help revolutionize how fantasy sports and betting insights are delivered. This role is critical in leveraging data to enhance user experience, refine predictive models, and optimize our algorithms for accurate player rankings, game outcomes, and betting odds. You’ll also collaborate on projects utilizing generative AI to create user-focused tools and features, adding a new layer of personalization and innovation to our platform. Key responsibilities:
- Predictive Modeling: Design and improve models for player performance, game
outcomes, and sports-related metrics across our platforms. - Generative AI Development: Build and refine AI-driven tools to enhance user
engagement and satisfaction on FantasyPros and BettingPros. - Algorithm Optimization: Improve existing systems for player rankings, projections, and
odds analysis. - Quality Monitoring: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of FantasyPros and BettingPros
advice for an optimal user experience.
Qualifications:
- Education: Post-secondary degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics,
Mathematics, or a related field. - Experience: 3+ years in data science, analytics, or a related role, preferably in sports
analytics or betting. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow). Expertise in SQL and familiarity with relational/non-relational databases. Experience working with APIs and automating processes with cron jobs.
- Knowledge: Strong background in machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical
methods. - Passion: Deep interest in fantasy sports, sports betting, and understanding user needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with software development in cloud environments, including deploying
machine learning models or creating scalable applications. - Interest and expertise in generative AI technologies.
