Business Development Manager/Director

Location: Anywhere, USA (remote)
Salary: TBD (based on experience)

Description:

FantasyPros is looking for a Business Development Manager/Director to join our remote-based team of sports enthusiasts to help us create the #1 platform for sports betting and fantasy advice. As the lead deal-maker on the business team, you will work directly with the CEO to identify, prioritize, close, and manage a variety of partnerships that help build our business and brand. This includes forging strategic partnerships and securing advertising clients to grow our subscription, licensing, and sponsorship revenues. You will also work closely with the marketing, content, product, and development teams to coordinate partnership launches and advertising campaigns. Every partnership will be a team effort, but you will need to take ownership for performance by leading the analysis and optimization of each deal. If this role sounds like a good fit, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Find and secure opportunities for strategic partnerships that help grow the business.
  • Identify, negotiate, and close content licensing deals and ad sponsorships.
  • Provide frequent updates on deal flow and partnership performance.
  • Work cross-functionally to launch, optimize, and manage partnerships and campaigns.
  • Stay on top of the latest industry trends, products, and competitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in business development, preferably for an online/mobile b2c company.
  • Proven track record of negotiating successful partnerships that drove material business value.
  • Experience in at least 2 of these areas: ad sales, licensing deals, customer acquisition, co-brands/white-labels.
  • Keen business acumen and strong negotiating, analytical, and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited school.
  • Passionate about fantasy sports and the sports betting industry.

Desired Experience:

  • Deal experience and relationships within the sports industry.
  • Contacts with large advertisers and ad agencies.
  • Advanced user of spreadsheet and presentation software.
  • Interest in technology and knowledge of online/mobile trends.
  • Fierce but fair negotiator (competitive spirit coupled with a firm sense of ethics).

This is a full-time position – no contractors or agencies please.
