McCarthy went 0-for-4 in Friday's series opener and will take a seat with left-hander Mitchell Parker starting for the Nats. He has yet to record a hit across his first 21 trips to the plate this season.

Peraza hasn't seen much action this season but will get a start against a left-hander in the Pirates' Bailey Falter on Saturday. He has taken advantage of the limited time he has seen in the young season, homering in one of two plate appearances on the campaign.

Cabrera had a big night on Friday, going 3-for-4 with a walk and four RBI as part of his club's 9-4 victory. However, he will take a seat on Saturday with Oswald Peraza taking over at the hot corner.

Diaz didn't start Friday's opener but struck out in a pinch-hitting appearances later in the game. He is just 3-for-14 with a walk across his first 16 plate appearances on the season.

Maldonado accounted for the Friars' lone run on Friday via a solo home run but will give way to Elias Diaz behind the plate on Saturday. The glove-first veteran is 3-for-13 with a pair of RBI across his five five appearances on the season.

Amaya got the start on Friday and went 0-for-4 with a pair of punchouts. He will give way to the white-hot Carson Kelly behind the plate on Saturday afternoon.

Kelly gave way to Miguel Amaya behind the plate for Friday's opener but will get back into the lineup and hit ninth on Saturday afternoon. The veteran has notched a cycle within his first four games this season and is 5-for-12 with a sky-high five walks across his first 18 plate appearances this season.

Pages will take over for the scorching hot Ivan Herrera behind the plate and will hit seventh on Saturday in Boston. The 26-year-old has been no slouch himself early on, going 4-for-10 with a double and a homer on the young season.

Herrera has already slugged four homers - including a three-homer outing on Wednesday - on the young season but will give way to Pedro Pages behind the dish on Saturday.

Gorman called his hamstring strain "mild" on Friday but it appears the club will proceed with caution and get the slugger some time off to heal. The 24-year-old is 4-for-8 with a homer, a double, and a walk across his first nine trips to the plate this season.
