Check out the latest fantasy football updates, news, injuries and rumors around the NFL.
Jordan James begins camp as Niners RB2
Mon, Jul 27th 10:20am EDT
By Garrett Ball
Jordan James began the 49ers training camp as the RB2 behind Christian McCaffrey, with Kaelon Black and Patrick Taylor taking snaps after. (Source: Nick Wagoner on X)
Fantasy Impact: It’s still early in the process, so the veteran James getting work over a third round rookie in Black makes sense. If this continues to be a trend, however, James could be a priority handcuff for McCaffrey in 2026, and if nothing else he’s a name to watch.
Eli Raridon has the opportunity to ‘make an impact’ in 2026
Mon, Jul 27th 11:22am EDT
By Garrett Ball
Eli Raridon will have an opportunity to “make an impact” during his rookie season behind veteran Hunter Henry thanks both to his skillset and the lack of depth at the position behind him. (Source: The Patriots Wire on X)
Fantasy Impact: Raridon will be behind Henry at least to start the season, but he could find himself a role down the stretch should the veteran suffer an injury. Henry is on the wrong side of 30, so the team is needing a young and promising talent to come in. Hopefully Raridon is the next productive Patriots tight end. The rookie’s own injury history is concerning, however, and much remains undecided.

Fantasy Impact: Brown being moved was one of the top storylines of the offseason. He is using this time to build a rapport with Drake Maye as he gets adjusted to a new offense and system. Brown is currently going off the board as the WR12 per FantasyPros ADP.
Daniel Jones (Achilles) fully cleared heading into training camp
Mon, Jul 27th 12:38pm EDT
By Diego Sandoval
Daniel Jones is fully cleared from his torn Achilles and will be a “full go” to begin training camp. (Source: Pat McAfee Show)
Fantasy Impact: The Colts will begin their training camp on Tuesday, and Jones will be on the field participating in 11-on-11 play on day one. The quarterback suffered a torn Achilles last December and now looks to be on track to be ready to go for Week 1 of this upcoming season, barring any setbacks. Jones is still someone to monitor as the calendar turns to August.
Baker Mayfield: No update on new contract
Mon, Jul 27th 12:42pm EDT
By Ari Koslow
Buccaneers beat reporter Greg Auman said there has been no word on a potential Baker Mayfield contract discussion ahead of training camp. (Source: Greg Auman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact: Mayfield has been seeking a new contract this offseason. It is unclear when his self-imposed deadline would be that he reportedly set. There is less than 24 hours until veterans report for training camp.

Fantasy Impact: Colts coach Shane Steichen previously said Pierce may not be ready for the start of training camp. He can be activated at any point as he recovers from an offseason procedure on his ankle.
