With the NHL rolling out a 10-game slate tonight, there’s no shortage of ways to get in on the action. I’m heading the DFS route to get some skin in the game.
Below you will find the nine-man lineup I’m riding with. This roster is playable in DraftKings’ classic $50,000 salary format, but I’ve also listed each player’s price at FanDuel’s $55,000 salary equivalent.

Tuesday’s NHL DFS Picks & Advice
The lineup below is based on DraftKings, but FanDuel prices are also listed.
Washington’s Dylan Strome is having a career season, amassing 70 points in 73 games. Those 70 points have come via 23 goals and 47 assists. Strome should turn in another solid performance against a Boston club in complete shambles.
The Bruins have dropped eight straight games, allowing 4.75 goals per game during the stretch. This game should be an annihilation, and I expect Strome to get in on the scoring action.
I love this value on Sean Monahan tonight, as he’s back to centering Columbus’ top line, playing alongside the dynamic Russian duo of Dmitri Voronkov and Kirill Marchenko. Monahan has three points (all assists) in three games since returning from injury, bringing him to 44 points (14 goals, 30 assists) in 44 total games.
Monahan looks to score on a Predators squad ranked 21st in GAA (2.91), 23rd in SV% (.888) and 30th in defensive zone giveaways (552).
I have a couple of Ducks in my lineup tonight, as they’re primed to do some damage against this miserable Sharks defense. San Jose comes into the night ranked 32nd in both GAA (3.55) and high-danger shots against (306), while sitting 30th in SV% (.882).
This bodes well for Frank Vatrano, who leads the team in goals (20) and shots on goal (218). I like this high-volume shooter to light the lamp tonight.
Ottawa’s Drake Batherson is in the midst of a nice offensive run, where he’s logged 10 points (five goals, five assists) over his last 10 games. The Senators skater is now second on the team in scoring (21 goals, 38 assists), while ranking second in shots on goal (167).
Rather than paying the big bucks for Brady Tkachuk, it makes more sense to ride with Batherson as a cheaper option. He has big upside as the Senators host a Sabres team ranked 29th in GAA (3.23) and 31st in SV% (.877).
Brad Marchand is set to make his third appearance in a Panthers uniform tonight. He has one point (an assist) and four shots in his prior outings.
Florida will wrap up a home-and-home series with Montreal, and it’s the Cats who are looking to rebound after a 4-2 loss on Sunday. Marchand (21 goals, 27 assists) could do some damage against a Habs team ranked 27th in GAA (3.15).

I have a pair of Utah skaters in my lineup tonight, starting with Mikhail Sergachev. The top defenseman and first-unit power-play contributor is turning in a respectable campaign, accumulating 47 points (14 goals, 33 assists) and 116 shots on goal over 69 games.
Additionally, Sergachev is 35th in the NHL in blocked shots (130), which allows him to collect fantasy points on both ends of the ice. I like this spot for him against a Flames side that’s a mid-tier 17th in GAA (2.77).
Jackson LaCombe is emerging as a solid option on Anaheim’s back end. The 24-year-old has been on a tear offensively, racking up seven points (two goals, five assists) in his last five outings. This brings him to 42 total points (13 goals, 29 assists) in 66 games.
All of the anti-Sharks stats above apply here, plus I should also mention San Jose’s penalty-killing unit is just 27th (74.22%). I like LaCombe to build on his current five-game point streak.
I’m heading the value route at goaltender tonight. I like Columbus a lot in this matchup against Nashville, whose offense has been horrendous all season. They’re dead last in scoring (2.6 goals per game) and shooting percentage (8.55%).
With injuries to Roman Josi and Jonathan Marchessault, I don’t see where the goals are going to come from for the Preds. This is a must-win game for the Blue Jackets, so I’ll take a flier on Elvis Merzlikins (3.09 GAA, .895 SV%) to shut down this lowly Predators offense.
Let’s round things out with Utah’s Lawson Crouse. The Hockey Club third-liner has only 16 points (10 goals, six assists), but he picked up an assist against the Blackhawks last time out. Crouse is also averaging 1.7 shots on goal per game over his last seven games.
Being that the well-rested Hockey Club is hosting a Flames team on the second night of a back-to-back, Crouse should get a few quality looks against a potentially fatigued team. Also, the Flames are the 13th-worst team in terms of GAA (3.19) over the last 10 games.
