Saquon Barkley inks two-year extension with Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley is signing a two-year extension worth $41.2 million with the organization, making him the highest-paid RB in the NFL
Fantasy Impact
Barkley was set to have one year left on his contract heading into 2025, but this new deal keeps him around through the 2027 season. He will be the first $20-million-per-year RB in the NFL (in AAV) after rushing for over 2,000 yards and setting the record for rushing yards in a single season (regular season + postseason) in 2024. The reigning fantasy RB1 in half-PPR formats will stay behind one of the best O-lines in the NFL for a little longer.

Davante Adams released by the New York Jets
Davante Adams has been released by the New York Jets. The team will save nearly $30 million in cap space with the move.
Fantasy Impact
The time of the Green Bay veterans in New York is ending. Adams and Rodgers will no longer be on the team in 2025, and they are exploring trade options with Allen Lazard. In 11 games for the Jets last year, Adams caught 67 of 114 targets for 854 yards and seven touchdowns. He showed flashes of his old self in 2024, and should still get a decent contract even at 32 years old.
