2025 NFL Mock Draft (Round 1)
1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward (QB – Miami)
Tennessee did very little during free agency and did not address the quarterback position, which makes you think they go quarterback here. It sounds like Cam Ward is the QB1 among most teams’ draft boards.
2. Cleveland Browns: Abdul Carter (DE – Penn State)
I had Abdul Carter going to the Browns in my first mock draft, thinking Myles Garrett was good as gone. I still like Carter here to pair with Garrett and create one of the best defensive lines in the league.
3. New York Giants: Shedeur Sanders (QB – Colorado)
Barring a late push for a veteran signal-caller like Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson, Shedeur Sanders could become the face of the franchise in New York.
4. New England Patriots: Mason Graham (DT – Michigan)
New England made a lot of great moves to fill a lot of holes on this roster. However, Mike Vrabel makes it a point to build up the trenches.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Tyler Warren (TE – PSU)
Liam Coen adds another weapon for Trevor Lawrence.
6. Las Vegas Raiders: Travis Hunter (WR/CB – Colorado)
Tom Brady and Pete Carroll make another splash in the offseason after trading for Geno Smith. Time will tell how they use the Heisman Trophy winner.
7. New York Jets: Will Campbell (OT – LSU)
Missing out on another tight end, the Jets once again go with Plan B and build up the offensive line.
8. Carolina Panthers: Tetairoa McMillan (WR – Arizona)
The Panthers made it a point to add to the defensive side of the ball, signing Tershawn Wharton, Bobby Brown, Pat Jones and Tre’von Moehrig. Now it’s time to get Bryce Young some help.
9. New Orleans: Jalon Walker (DE – Georgia)
The Saints could go with a wide receiver here but they need to focus on their pass rush, which ranked 23rd in the NFL last season.
10. Chicago Bears: Mykel Williams (DT – Georgia)
The Bears could go in a few directions here. They could continue to build up the offensive line, but with the moves they made in free agency (adding Joe Thuney and Jonah Jackson) I don’t think they feel the need to force an offensive lineman here.
11. San Francisco 49ers: Kelvin Banks Jr. (OL – Texas)
It wouldn’t be shocking if the 49ers locked in Will Johnson due to Charvarius Ward leaving for the Colts in free agency, but the 49ers ultimately go with an offensive tackle to replace an aging Trent Williams
12. Dallas Cowboys: Mike Green (DE – Marshall)
Every mock draft has Ashton Jeanty going to the Cowboys. Not this one. It wouldn’t be shocking to see a wide receiver come off the board here, but the Cowboys get Mike Green to pair with Micah Parsons.
13. Miami Dolphins: Armand Membou (OT – Missouri)
Armand Membou had a strong showing at the combine and has been climbing up draft boards around the league. He would be an immediate starter if picked here.
14. Indianapolis Colts: Colston Loveland (TE – Michigan)
The Colts could go in several ways. Don’t be surprised if they take a shot on Colston Loveland or continue to build up the defensive secondary.
Loveland is an underrated game-changing tight end who will give Anthony Richardson another solid weapon the Colts desperately need.
15. Atlanta Falcons: Will Johnson (CB – Michigan)
Pairing Johnson with A.J. Terrell makes for a nice duo in the defensive backfield.
16. Arizona Cardinals: Malaki Starks (S – Georgia)
The Cardinals add more playmakers to the defense after signing Josh Sweat.
17. Cincinnati Bengals: Shemar Stewart (DE – Texas A&M)
After signing defensive tackle T.J. Slaton and re-signing B.J. Hill, adding a young, athletic pass-rusher like Shemar Stewart will make this defensive line 10 times better than what they had in 2024.
18. Seattle Seahawks: Tyler Booker (OT – Alabama)
Seattle can be so unpredictable in drafts, but they need to focus on the offensive line. Tyler Booker will help solidify that line immediately.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Emeka Egbuka (WR – Ohio State)
The Bucs land arguably the best wide receiver in this year’s draft class.
20. Denver Broncos: Matthew Golden (WR – Texas)
Here comes the run on wideouts. With Courtland Sutton a pending free agency after the 2025 season, Matthew Golden gives Denver an elite receiver for the foreseeable future.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jaxson Dart (QB – Ole Miss)
In my first mock draft, I 100% thought Justin Fields or Russell Wilson was going to return to Pittsburgh. Fields signed with the Jets and Wilson is taking visits with the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants. If Wilson bolts, I am not sure what their plans are at quarterback.
22. Los Angeles Chargers: Luther Burden III (WR – Missouri)
I had Ashton Jeanty land here in my first mock draft, but with the signing of Najee Harris, I am not so sure that will happen.
The Chargers may have the worst wide receiver room in the league. They need another playmaker for Justin Herbert.
23. Green Bay Packers: James Pearce Jr. (DE – Tennessee)
Green Bay desperately needs a pass-rusher.
24. Minnesota Vikings: Jahdae Barron (CB – Texas)
Jahdae Barron has experience playing outside corner as well as in the slot. You need a shutdown cornerback to compete in the NFC North.
25. Houston Texans: Josh Simmons (OL – Ohio State)
The primary goal of this team should be to protect C.J. Stroud.
26. Los Angeles Rams: Grey Zabel (OL – North Dakota State)
The Rams need help and depth on the offensive line. Reports say Grey Zabel can play nearly every position, which will help dramatically in Los Angeles.
27. Baltimore Ravens: Nic Scourton (DE – Texas A&M)
The Ravens land a pass-rusher they have lacked the last few years.
28. Detroit Lions: Donovan Ezeiruaku (DE – Boston College)
NFL fans were dreaming of the chance to pair Aidan Hutchinson with Myles Garrett. With Garrett returning to the Browns, the Lions turn their attention to the draft and take the best pass-rusher left on the board.
29. Washington Commanders: Jack Sawyer (LB – Ohio State)
Led by Jayden Daniels, the Commanders may have one of the better offenses in the league, so now it’s time to focus on the defense. Jack Sawyer’s play during the College Football Playoff (CFP) may have catapulted him into the first round.
30. Buffalo Bills: Walter Nolen (DT – Ole Miss)
The Bills take advantage of Walter Nolen sliding down the draft board.
31. Kansas City Chiefs: Derrick Harmon (DT – Oregon)
The Chiefs’ run defense looked like a piece of Swiss cheese during the playoffs. Plugging in Derrick Harmon would help fill a lot of those holes.
Harmon led FBS defensive tackles in pressures (34) during the 2024 season.
32. Philadelphia Eagles: Elijah Arroyo (TE – Miami)
This gives Jalen Hurts another playmaker on the offensive side of the ball.
