NFL Free Agent & Draft Needs for Every Team (Fantasy Football)

NFL Free Agent & Draft Needs for Every Team (Fantasy Football)

One way or another, NFL teams are going to – or try to – plug the holes on their roster this offseason. Whether it be through the most recent free agency period or the 2025 NFL Draft will depend on each organization’s discretion as many teams approach team-building from different perspectives.

Either way, rosters will start to look much different from last year, and it’s important to stay ahead of these transactions by identifying the needs after the first big wave of free agency in March. That way, you can acquire an edge in early best ball drafts or in dynasty trades with your moves considering real-life team needs that have yet to transpire. It also helps to call out the draft capital and salary cap space teams possess, as that will factor into their off-season strategy.

Note that this article will be a living breathing document, and will be updated after free agency to update teams’ needs entering the peak of draft szn.

Below, you’ll find a breakdown of the needs of all 32 teams for both free agency and the 2025 NFL Draft that can serve as your compass to the start of the 2025 offseason.

I also like to include 2026 free agents (via Spotrac.com), as some of the sharper teams (cough, Eagles, cough) build their rosters out ahead of time. Rich stay rich.

2025 NFL Draft Guide: Mock Drafts, Scouting Reports & More

2025 NFL Free Agent & Draft Needs for Every Team

Tennessee Titans

Team Needs: QB, WR, EDGE, CB, LB, TE

Roster:

Will Levis isn’t the long-term answer at QB for Tennessee. Therefore, the Titans are back in the QB market. It’s an area they are expected to address in the NFL Draft with the most likely outcome being Miami’s Cam Ward as the No. 1 overall pick.

Keep in mind that during free agency, they elected not to bring back Mason Rudolph (signed back to Pittsburgh), opting for Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle instead.

Head coach Brian Callahan has blatantly stated at the start of the offseason they needed to get another tackle this offseason and improve the right guard spot. Kevin Zeitler signed with the Titans in free agency to improve the guard spot.

They also signed Dan Moore, who has started at left tackle for Pittsburgh over the last four seasons, to a lucrative 4-year, $82 million contract.

With Moore at LT, they can shift last year’s first-round pick, JC Latham, back to RT.

Calvin Ridley is the only notable remaining WR left under contract on the roster. Van Jefferson was signed to a one-year deal. Nick Westbrook-Ihkine departed in free agency to the Dolphins.

The Titans posted the fourth-worst PFF pass-rush grade last season. Harold Landry is now with the Patriots, after leading the team in sacks in 2024.

New GM Mike Borgonzi has spoken at length about addressing both the OL/DL in offseason pressers.

Via SI…”We have some holes to fill on the offensive line – that would be number one,” Borgonzi said. “And then, just depth level across the whole team right now. Creating competition is going to be the biggest thing. Whether it’s through free agency or the draft, there might be a guy that we sign off the street as a workout guy. But really, we want to build the fronts first- offensive, defensive lines, then build depth around the perimeter.”

The Titans also need to address the traditional off-the-ball linebacker position.

Kenneth Murray is from the past regime and could be a salary cap casualty. He ended up getting traded to Dallas for a late-pick swap. They also cut CB Chidobe Awuzie.

Jerome Baker left the Titans to sign with the Browns, and Jack Gibbens is coming off a season-ending ankle injury. The Patriots have shown interest in the former Titans linebacker and signed him on March 19th.

Linebacker Cody Barton signed with the Titans.

Unfortunately for the Titans, they don’t have a third-round pick this season after the L’Jarius Snead trade last season.

I also think tight end might be another low-key position of need. Although I’d say I like the combination of Chig Okonkwo and Josh Whyle more than most, although Okonkwo is in the final year of his rookie contract.

Okonkwo finished the 2024 season strong in his last three games. Could be a sneaky fantasy tight end without much receiving competition.

Buzz: The Titans are receiving calls for the No. 1 overall pick, most likely from teams looking to trade up for the right to select Miami quarterback Cam Ward. But it might take a bigger haul than most expect, as the Titans are reported to be high on the rookie QB. Based on how they have addressed QBs in free agency, seems more likely Ward is the guy at No. 1 for Tennessee.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: TE Chig Okonkwo, S Amani Hooker, OLB Arden Key, WR Treylon Burks, CB Roger McCreary and OT Nicholas Petit-Frere.

Cleveland Browns

Team Needs: QB, OT, RB, WR

Roster:

The Browns are logical candidates to land Kirk Cousins (given the HC/QB connection) as soon as his stalemate with the Atlanta Falcons reaches its conclusion. We know that they need to still add more QBs this season, even after acquiring the great former first-round pick, Kenny Pickett.

Pickett was told he will have a chance to ‘compete’ for the QB1 job regardless of the other QBs added to the roster according to Mary Kay Cabot.

Left tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. is a free agent this offseason. As are tackles James Hudson (Giants) and Germain Ifedi (free agent).

Teven Jenkins was signed during free agency.

But he will join three additional interior OL starters hitting free agency in 2026.

The Browns seem to have confidence in Dawand Jones after suffering a season-ending injury in Week 11. But considering he has ended his first two seasons on IR, Browns should add more tackle depth.

RB Nick Chubb remains unsigned, putting RB atop the needs list.

An edge rusher would have been a bigger focal point to address if Myles Garrett is traded. Garrett won’t be traded after signing a a 4-year, $160 million contract extension on March 9th. He is now the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.

And they way the betting markets are leaning, Penn State pass rusher, Abdul Carter, will be joining Garrett in Cleveland in less than a month.

The defense line seems set, but it might be the biggest area to look at in the long term. As noted by the Akron Beach Journal, last year’s second-round pick, Mike Hall, will take time to return from injury. Shelby Harris is 34.5 years old and in the final year of his deal.

They signed ex-Buccaneers OLB Joe Tryon. They did add DT Maliek Collins on a two-year deal.

Outside Jerry Jeudy and Cedric Tillman, the Browns don’t have a ton of depth at WR.

S Juan Thornhill was also released.

GM Andrew Berry has a strong track record of drafting OL, WR, and/or EDGE with premium draft capital.

Buzz: The Browns want to get Cam Ward (either he falls to 2nd or they trade up) or get out of the No. 2 spot (although this might be slightly changed based on their recent positive visit with Shedeur Sanders). They also view WR/CB Travis Hunter as WR first, and defensive back second.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: G Joel Bitonio, G Wyatt Teller, TE David Njoku, DE Ogbonnia Okoronkwo, C Ethan Pocic, DT Shelby Harris, ILB Jordan Hicks and CB Greg Newsome.

New York Giants

Team Needs: QB, OL, DT, CB, WR

Roster: Reports from Albert Breer suggest that New York was going to remain aggressive in the QB market during both free agency and the NFL Draft. Considering the roster, and the HC/GM combination on a sizzling red-hot seat you’d probably similarly approach the roster.

Unfortunately, landing Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson from two other QB-needy teams hardly seems like a big win.

They still HAVE to add a rookie QB to the mix to give head coach Brian Daboll and GM Joe Schoen as many outs as possible to find positive play out of the position in 2025 and beyond.

The combination of Wilson/Winston does not take the Giants out of the running for Colorado QB, Shedeur Sanders, with the third overall pick in my estimation.

But it does give them flexibility in a case where Sanders gets drafted before they pick. Or if they opt to select a rookie QB later in the draft. And who knows. Maybe New York looks to get in the trade market and move to get Sanders at a different draft slot.

Outside of QB, the defense needs to improve. Injuries destroyed the defensive line in 2024, and the secondary allowed too many big plays. OLB Azeez Ojulari is also hitting free agency and signed with the Eagles. Simply put: they need depth. DT Roy Robertson-Harris was brought in during FA.

Luckily it’s a very deep class on the defensive line.

Cornerback Deonte Banks allowed a top-10 passer rating when targeted in 2024. Safety/CB Jason Pinnock signed with the 49ers, and Tyler Nubin is coming off a season-ending ankle injury. CB Paulson Adebo was signed in free agency along with safety Jevon Holland.

Big Blue might also look to add another WR given the FA status of Darius Slayton. He is expected to generate solid buzz on the market as this year’s Darnell Mooney, who was last year’s Jakobi Meyers, etc. But unlike those other guys, he will be back on his old team. Slayton will stay a Giant, after signing a 3-year $36 million contract.

Wan’Dale Robinson is in the last year of his rookie deal.

Maybe the Giants’ yearly offensive line needs aren’t as obvious as the Atlanta Falcons’ need for a pass rush…but’s it is close. Andrew Thomas played six games last season. Starting guard Greg Van Roten re-signed but he is entering his age 35-season.

RT James Hudson signed with the Giants on a 2-year deal. They also added Stone Forsythe, who spent the last four seasons with the Seahawks.

Buzz: Reports trickled out on Tuesday, March 4th, from ESPN’s Jordan Raanan that multiple league sources left their meetings with the Giants this week thinking a trade for the No. 1 pick with the Tennessee Titans was likely. He has labeled CB1 and OG as his positions to watch during free agency. Adebo was a splashy CB signing, but Hudson addition from the Browns leaves a bit to be desired. He was PFF’s third-worst graded pass-blocker last season among tackles in just four games.

The Giants’ plans of acquiring the first overall pick all seem but dead at this point according to Jordan Raanan via the Breaking Blue podcast. Along with Winston, Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers remain very viable options for New York as they approach Plan C. Winston ended up being the Giants target, as he signed a two-year $8 million contract with New York. The Giants signed Wilson as well not-long-after to a one-year incentive-driven deal worth up to $21 million ($10.5 million guaranteed).

Notable 2026 Free Agents: OLB Kayvon Thibodeaux, RT Jermaine Eluemunor, RT Evan Neal, DT Rakeem Nunez-Roches, WR Wan’Dale Robinson, G Austin Schlottmann and G Joshua Ezeudu.

dynasty rookie mock draft simulator

New England Patriots

Team Needs: OL, WR, EDGE, LB

Don’t need to sugarcoat the team’s needs folks. Offensive line and pass-catchers for Drake Maye is the only way New England needs to address the 2025 NFL Draft.

First step in free agency was signing veteran OT Morgan Moses. OG Wes Schweitzer also signed a one-year deal with the Pats after 62 career starts.

However, center David Andrews was released. Schweitzer is a logical center replacement for Andrews in the short-term but they still need a long-term answer.

They signed ex-Vikings center, Garrett Bradbury to a two-year $12 million contract after he was cut from Minnesota.

I also spoke with Patriots beat reporter and staff writer Evan Lazar at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. He told me that “trench players” are at the top of the Patriots’ to-do list in the 2025 offseason. OL and DL. Beef up the line of scrimmage.

The first big move they pulled was signing former Titan, Harold Landry to a three-year, $43.5 million deal as reported by ESPN.

Conversely they also traded away DT Davon Godchaux to the Saints for a 7th round draft pick.

They double-downed on the defensive line with this year’s prized free agent and former Eagles defensive lineman: Milton Williams.

Given that they made so many improvements on defense during free agency, the offensive line sticks out like a sore thumb.

They cannot enter the season with offensive tackle Vederian Lowe protecting Maye’s blind side. Not ideal. Veteran Morgan Moses could theoretically flip over to LT, but he has played 97% of his NFL snaps at right tackle.

LSU’s Will Campbell and Missouri’s Armand Membou are viewed as the top-2 tackle prospects in this year’s draft.

Mike Vrabel’s team might also look to add another off-ball-linebacker with Ja’Whaun Bentley entering the last year of his deal (he also might be a salary cap casualty).

Cornerback might be another position the Patriots look at, given the lack of depth behind Christian Gonzalez. Jonathan Jones was a free agent and signed with the Commanders.

They also signed CB Carlton Davis to a monster deal, 3 years and $60 million to pair alongside Gonzalez.

The Patriots re-signed tight end Austin Hooper to a 1-year $5 million contract. Joshua Dobbs also signed as a backup QB, 2 year and $8 million.

As for WR, the splashy FA move they made was signing Stefon Diggs to a three-year deal worth $63.5 million. But it’s essentially a one-year deal that the Patriots can get out of if things don’t work with the 31-year-old WR coming off a torn ACL.

The Diggs signing shouldn’t stop the Patriots from drafting Colorado’s Travis Hunter with the 4th overall pick, should he be available.

Buzz: A.J. Brown is on the Patriots’ trade radar, along with Brandon Aiyuk. Also Joe Milton trade SZN.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: OG Cole Strange, CB Marcus Jones

Jacksonville Jaguars

Team Needs:  DT, CB, WR, OT, RB

New Jaguars GM James Gladstone noted during his NFL Combine press conference by prioritizing the offensive and defensive fronts, in addition to point scorers as their top targets. He also mentioned that addressing the interior of the offensive line is important (protect Trevor Lawrence) and that the running back class is very deep.

Starting guard Brandon Scherff is an impending free agent. In addition, center is a growing concern – veteran center Mitch Morse is 32 and entering the final year of his deal. Morse announced hit retirement the week before FA.

Former Ravens OG Patrick Mekari signed with the Jaguars along with center, Robert Hainsey (who will reunite with Liam Coen from Tampa Bay).

DT Jeremiah Ledbetter signed with the Giants. Despite having quality edge rushers (Travon Walker and Josh Allen), the Jaguars lacked interior push.

Christian Kirk and Evan Engram (entering his 31-year old season) were both in the final years of their contracts and ended up being salary cap casualties under a new regime. Kirk was expected to be released on March 5th, but instead he was traded to the Houston Texans for 2026 seventh-round pick. Engram was released shortly after.

During FA, the Jags signed WR Dyami Brown. They also added two more TEs: Hunter Long and Johnny Mundt.

Long is interesting because he has connections to the Jags new GM from their time spent together with the Rams.

Travis Etienne is in the final year of his deal.

Gladstone said on second-year tight end Brenton Strange, “Yeah, really excited about his ascension in year two, and I think he’ll have a part in the offense moving forward in a way that we haven’t seen yet.” Per The Coach Speak Index. Nailed it.

Defensively, the only notable starter from last season who is a free agent is safety Andre Cisco (Jets). But the pass defense was so poor in 2024 – most passing yards allowed – so the team needs to revamp the entire secondary under new defensive coordinator, Anthony Campanile.

Safety Eric Murray was added in free agency. Tyson Campbell is serviceable, but another reliable CB2 across from him is needed. Ronald Darby has already been released (signed with the Houston Texans). They added ex-Cowboys slot CB Jourdan Lewis in free agency.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: OLB Travon Walker, ILB Devin Lloyd and RB Travis Etienne

Buzz: Brenton Strange looks like Jags TE1. He emerged in 2024 with 40 catches for 411 yards, flashing future potential at the position.

Las Vegas Raiders

Team Needs: CB, WR, RB, LB, EDGE, OG, QB, S

Aidan O’Connell will still be on the roster, while Gardner Minshew was released – so the Raiders appear set to bring in two new bodies to compete for the starting job per the Athletic.

One of those QB bodies will be veteran Geno Smith after LV acquired him with a third-round pick. Smith is expected to be the bridge QB for an incoming rookie.

The running back production was terrible in 2025, so expect the Black Hole to upgrade backfield in the NFL Draft.

According to Nick Farabaugh of Penn Live, the Raiders have a top-30 visit scheduled with RB Ashton Jeanty and Iowa RB Kaleb Johnson. The new RB coach, Deland McCullough, was with Notre Dame from 2022 to 2024. The new GM, John Spytek, also mentioned the strength of the RBs in this year’s draft class.

He specifically mentioned that speed is great, “But to me, it’s more about the guys that have great instincts, great vision, that are hard to get on the ground. If they can run 4.3’s, even better, but I’ve seen a lot of great ones that run the 4.5’s and 4.6’s that are just hard to tackle and they set the tone for the team, so we’re looking for that.”

Head coach Pete Carroll is no stranger to wanting to run the football, so this shouldn’t surprise anyone they will be investing in RBs.

The Las Vegas Raiders signed veteran running back Raheem Mostert to a one-year, $2.1 million contract. If there’s one thing Mostert can do well, it’s speed.

The offensive line doesn’t have many glaring holes, although there is a potential fix at the guard. Jordan Meredith is in the final year of his contract.

Cody Whitehair is a free agent. Andre James is just a backup center after losing the job to Jackson Powers-Johnson last year. James has already been released (signed with the Chargers).

They signed Alex Cappa after he was released from the Bengals.

Defensively, the Raiders have a ton of free agents at linebacker, edge rusher, and safety.

Still, the 2024 unit was bad in general, more so against the pass ranking 32nd in PFF coverage grade.

Safety Jeremy Chinn signed a 2-year deal with the Raiders. DE Malcolm Koonce was brought in on a one-year deal ($12 million). CB Eric Stokes also signed a one-year deal. Still, nobody should be overconfident about Jack Jones and Decamerion Robinson reprising their roles as CB starters in 2025.

They lost Robert Spillane, but LB Elandon Roberts signed with the Las Vegas Raiders on a one-year, $3 million deal. The Patriots also matched the Raiders’ offer linebacker Christian Elliss, making LB a bigger area of need.

Given the lack of depth behind Jakobi Meyers (in the final year of his deal), I’d imagine they’re looking to bolster the position. Based on the current coaching staff in Las Vegas, Keenan Allen and Tyler Lockett would be logical veteran additions.

Buzz: Shedeur Sanders‘ draft stock is also on the decline in the aftermath of the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. I don’t think he would fall past the Raiders at No. 6 or Jets at No. 7. We shall see if the Geno Smith trade changes that equation for the Black Hole. Smith is expected to sign a new extension with LV.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: LT Kolton Miller, WR Jakobi Meyers, K Daniel Carlson, P A.J. Cole, G Dylan Parham, LS Jacob Bobenmoyer, CB Jack Jones

New York Jets

Team Needs: WR/TE, OL, DT, S, CB

NY Times Zack Rosenblatt predicts the Jets will enter camp with a competition featuring Tyrod Taylor, a veteran free agent, and potentially a rookie draft pick.

The veteran QB they landed on? Justin Fields.

Meanwhile, TE Tyler Conklin (Chargers) and CB D.J. Reed (Lions) are not returning.

Without Reed (who signed with the Lions), they will need another CB to play alongside Sauce Gardner. Brandin Echols signed with the Steelers while versatile DB Isaiah Oliver returned to the Jets on a new contract. CB Brandon Stephens was signed after playing with the Ravens last season.

However, he also allowed the second-most yards while in coverage last season.

Safety Andre Cisco was added as well on a one-year contract.

Also both starting safeties – Tony Adams and Cisco – will be free agents in 2026.

With Davante Adams already released and Conklin on his way out, there’s a severe lack of pass-catcher depth on the roster. Allen Lazard looks like he will also be traded.

I’ve always been a fan of tight end Jeremey Ruckert, and he might get a chance to start if Conklin moves on.

That being said, New York is apparently “infatuated” by Penn State prospect, tight end Tyler Warren.

The Jets offensive line also needs work, after the band-aid attempt did not pan out in 2024. Both tackles – Tyron Smith and Morgan Moses (Patriots)- are gone. Second-year player Olu Fashanu figures to take one spot, but the other remains vacated. Two of the starting interior blockers will be free agents in 2026.

Gang Green’s defense has strong personnel that can hopefully rebound after poor coaching in 2024.

Walter Football cites the need for a safety in the Jets’ secondary. Most of last year’s safeties are free agents and it’s a position they have struggled to find consistency at.

Quinnen Williams is the anchor of the interior, but there’s a lack of depth behind him. More pass rush also seems to be necessary, given the Haason Reddick disaster and the Achilles injury to Jermaine Johnson. It’s a great class to draft edge rushers.

The Jets linebacker room would also suffer a massive loss if they aren’t able to bring back Jamien Sherwood. The Jets were able to do so signing him to a 3 year $45 million contract extension. C.J. Mosely was also released.

Buzz: In 2023, Justin Fields averaged nearly 22 points per game from Week 4 onward. In his six starts during the 2024 season, Fields was the QB6 overall and QB7 in points per game (19.1). 4th in fantasy points per dropback (0.62).

Fields has similar fantasy upside to the elite QB Tier with his rushing. The passing is not nearly good enough compared to the S Tier QBs, but having his former Ohio State teammate in Justin Fields might help him take another step as a passer. Don’t forget that Fields unlocked D.J. Moore in 2023 to a WR6 finish.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: CB Ahmad Gardner, LB Quincy Williams, QB Tyrod Taylor, G John Simpson, WR Garrett Wilson, K Greg Zuerlein, T Alijah Vera-Tucker, DE Jermaine Johnson, P Thomas Morstead, RB Breece Hall, DT Phidarian Mathis, FB Andrew Beck and TE Jeremy Ruckert.

Carolina Panthers

Team Needs: EDGE, DT, WR, TE, CB

The Panthers had the worst run defense and defensive line in the NFL in 2024 by almost any metric – 32nd in both run defense and PFF pass rush grade.

GM Dan Morgan has explicitly stated the team wants to attack the defensive line this offseason in a similar manner to their approach to the offensive line last season.

The solution: Milton Williams. Him and Derrick Brown will be a FORCE for the Panthers DL. Well at least that was the case until the deal fell through. Williams signed with the Patriots.

After losing out on Williams, the Panthers pivoted and signed former Chiefs DT, Tershawn Wharton. They also added Bobby Brown to a 3 year contract worth $21 million.

The Panthers GM also mentioned “thinness” in the tight end room. Tommy Tremble was a free agent but signed a two-year deal to return.

I think that 2025 could be a breakout season for Ja’Tavion Sanders. The rookie tight end flashed signs of brilliance during his rookie campaign, but a scary concussion in Week 12 derailed his second half.

I’d imagine the Panthers draft a rookie RB, but they might be gun-shy to use a top draft pick as the Jonathon Brooks selection has not aged well. And they just paid Chuba Hubbard to be their guy while cutting Miles Sanders.

They replaced Sanders with former Cowboys RB, Rico Dowdle. The former Dallas RB signed for a one-year deal worth $6.25 million after rushing for 1,079 yards in his first season as a legitimate starter.

More weapons overall will always remain a priority for Carolina as they continue to build around Bryce Young. The re-signed David Moore.

They don’t need another center another as they brought back Austin Corbett (formerly a free agent) and Brady Christensen.

Secondary-wise? It’s Jaycee Horn (who signed a 4-year extension) and not much else. Michael Jackson was added on a two-year deal worth $14.5 million.

Safety Trevon Moehrig was a much-needed and worthy acquisition to the man the safety position.

Long story short, the Panthers could sign or draft almost any position and it would likely fill a need. The offensive line, other than the center, is probably the most filled-out unit after they invested a ton in those positions last offseason.

Buzz: According to NFL Draft insider, Tony Pauline, the Carolina Panthers, who hold the 8th overall pick, are “in fact, very interested” in Georgia edge rusher Mykel Williams (via Sleeper on X).

Notable 2026 Free Agents: RT Taylor Moton, DE Jadeveon Clowney, WR Adam Thielen, LT Ikem Ekwonu, DT Shy Tuttle, DE D.J. Wonnum.

Expert Consensus Rankings Featured Tool

New Orleans Saints

Team Needs: EDGE, CB, OL, QB, WR/TE

The No. 1 need for the Saints is in the trenches. Therefore, it was very savvy for the team to re-sign Chase Young to a three-year deal. They traded for DT Davon Godchaux from the Patriots.

Still, Payton Turner is gone after signing with Dallas. Cam Jordan is in the last year of his deal. The Saints are in a good position to draft a strong pass rusher in a deep class.

Note that they are likely moving to a 3-4 defense under defensive coordinator Brandon Staley. As outlined in Saints Wire, this suggests that they will target two edge/linebacker players, whether that is via draft selections (Shemar Stewart, Mykel Williams Jalon Walker, James Pearce Jr., Mike Green, etc.) or signings (Preston Smith, etc.)

I expected Juwan Johnson to depart through the free agency period, forcing the Saints to add another pass-catcher (TE or WR). But I was wrong as the WR-TE hybrid re-signed with New Orleans on a 3 year $30 million contract.

Almost all of their top WRs are in the final years of their contracts. Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed also missed the majority of games last season. Brandin Cooks signed a two-year deal with the Saints to return to New Orleans.

Many NFL draft mocks have a top-tier tight end going to the Saints.

On the offensive line, left guard Lucas Patrick signed with the Bengals in free agency. But the 2024 offensive line was graded dead last by PFF in pass-blocking last season. Trevor Penning has not lived up to his first-round draft capital and probably isn’t a long-term answer.

In the secondary, S Will Harris (Commanders) and CB Paulson Adebo (Giants) signed with other teams, while Alontae Taylor is in the last year of his contract. They signed CB Issac Yiadom to a three-year contract ($9 million). Safety Justin Reid was signed to a three-year deal.

Buzz: The Saints released running back Jamaal Williams before the start of free agency. Ashton Jeanty SZN!?

Notable 2026 Free Agents: DE Cameron Jordan, TE Taysom Hill, ILB Demario Davis, WR Rashid Shaheed, WR Chris Olave, TE Foster Moreau, LT Trevor Penning, SS J.T. Gray, WR Cedrick Wilson and CB Alontae Taylor.

Chicago Bears

Team Needs: EDGE, S, LB, RB

One of the biggest needs the Bears needed to address this offseason was improving the offensive line. They got ahead of the free-agency frenzy by acquiring Joe Thuney from the Chiefs for a 2026 fourth-round pick. This was the second move they made this offseason to improve the offensive line, having already acquired Jonah Jackson from the Rams for a sixth-round pick.

However, they still needed a center with Coleman Shelton on an expired deal (signed with the Rams).

Ex-Falcons center Drew Dalman. 3 year $42 million contract. They are finally getting the much-needed protection for Caleb Williams, who was one of the biggest winners after the first week of free agency.

Teven Jenkins (Browns) and Matt Pryor are also on expired deals. Ricky Stromberg is a potential in-house option.

Offensive tackle Braxon Jones is entering the last year of his rookie contract and could be upgraded. The offensive line is complete from an overhaul perspective with three new starters, but they can still make it even better in the draft. Take no chances.

Besides that, this early 2025 Bears roster looks pretty solid on paper. Bolstering the DL/EDGE alongside Montez Sweat seems like the most sensible move if they decide to go away from OL in Round 1. Shortly after Grady Jarrett’s release, he signed with the Bears. They also signed DE Dayo Odeyingbo.

They have the second-shortest betting odds to select a DL/EDGE prospect with their first pick.

As noted by SI, safety might be an under-the-radar need. Jaquan Brisker has a concussion history. Brisker and Kevin Byard are in the last years of their deals.

In such a great RB class, I could see Ben Johnson wanting to get “his” guy. D’Andre Swift has an out in his contract after the season where he can be released for a very small dead cap hit.

The Bears are heavy favorites to select a RB with their first pick, with the popular choice being Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty.

Buzz: The Chicago Bears have already improved the offensive line before the start of free agency. Who’s next?

Notable 2026 Free Agents: G Joe Thuney, SS Kevin Byard, LB T.J. Edwards, G Ryan Bates, DT Andrew Billings, SS Jonathan Owens, CB Kyler Gordon, S Jaquan Brisker, RT Joshua Miles, LB Noah Sewell, WR Maurice Alexander. C Chris Glaser WR Samori Toure and T Braxton Jones.

San Francisco 49ers

Team Needs: DT, EDGE, OL, CB

According to Tony Pauline, the 49ers are very high on DL prospect Oluwafemi Oladejo. Pauline has also said he has been told the 49ers will address offensive linemen, cornerbacks, and WRs in free agency.

After having just traded Deebo Samuel while meeting with several rookie WRs at the combine, re-tolling the pass-catchers for Brock Purdy makes logical sense. Brandon Aiyuk is on the trade block.

Demarcus Robinson is coming over from the Rams on a two-year contract.

In the backfield, both RB Patrick Taylor and RB Jordan Mason will return to back up Christian McCaffery. Well, at least that was the initial thought given the second-round tender on Mason. However the Vikings were able to work out a trade with San Fran to acquire the running back.

On the offensive line, Aaron Banks (Packers) and Jon Feliciano are free agents.

Ben Bartch and Colton McKivitz are in the last years of their contracts. Trent Williams isn’t getting any younger, entering his age 37 season.

After they lock up Purdy, bolstering his protection up front makes the most sense.

The team also released defensive lineman Javon Hargrave this offseason. OLB Leonard Floyd was released (signed with the Falcons). DT Maliek Collins was released. Linebackers Dre Greenlaw (Broncos) and De’Vondre Campbell are gone.

Addressing the pass rush opposite Nick Bosa matters substantially.

As the Athletic’s Matt Barrows wrote regarding the 49ers’ biggest needs this offseason, this team should double-down drafting defensive tackles give the lack of proven depth on the roster.

CB Charvarius Ward is also gone and the 49ers’ secondary lacks reliable talent.

They signed Tre Brown from the Seahawks, who allowed the third-highest passer rating when targeted last season (144.8).

Safety/CB Jason Pinnock signed with the 49ers from the Giants. Safety Richie Grant also signed with the 49ers.

Safety Tashaun Gipson will be 35 years old and is a free agent. Talanoa Hufanga is not expected to return to the 49ers (Broncos).

SF has major holes to fill defensively, which could put them in a lot of shootout game scripts in 2025 if they are unable to mitigate losing specific pieces.

FB Kyle Juszczyk was released, but the re-signed to a more team-friendly contract.

Mac Jones was signed as a backup for two years and $7 million. Jones is looking to follow the “Sam Darnold” path with a stop at the Kyle Shanahan school of retread quarterbacks.

Buzz: Brandon Aiyuk’s trade deadline is April 1st. He has $22.855M guaranteed roster bonus as of that date in his current contract. The Browns are apparently very interested in acquiring the former first-round pick.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: TE George Kittle, DE Yetur Gross-Matos, WR Jauan Jennings, DT Jordan Elliott, T Colton McKivitz, DE Drake Jackson and G Ben Bartch.

Dallas Cowboys

Team Needs: DT, EDGE, WR, CB, RB

Jon Machota of The Athletic believes that the Ashton Jeanty to Dallas deal is more noisy than anything else, and Dallas will draft an RB in round 2 or 3.

During the free agency period, Dallas signed Javonte Williams to a one-year deal worth $3 million. They also added Miles Sanders after he was released from the Panthers.

Moreso on offense, another WR to pair with CeeDee Lamb is sensible, given the current roster build.

Brandin Cooks is a New Orlean Saint. Jalen Tolbert is in the last year of his rookie deal. Tony Pauline noted that Dallas will potentially prioritize WR in the NFL Draft, and they could even move up to select one. A name to monitor: Emeka Egbuka. He’s known Cowboys WR coach Junior Adams since Adams coached his high school coach at Eastern Washington (Tom Downey).

WR KaVontae Turpin re-signed on a three-year deal worth $18M deal. Turpin was targeted on 26% of his routes run in 2024. Turpin never played more than 50% of the snaps last season but flashed big-time potential as an explosive playmaker.

Adding an experienced offensive lineman (or two) to bolster the interior protection will also be advised. Zack Martin is retired slotting either Brock Hoffman or T.J. Bass at RG. Not ideal.

Former Dolphins Robert Jones was signed in free agency at guard.

Beefing up the defensive line is also a big need for Big D. NFL offenses were able to overexpose their run defense at times last season, as they ranked fourth worst in rushing yards allowed per game. DT Mazi Smith has not lived up to his first-round draft expectations. DeMarcus Lawrence is a free agent (signed with the Seahawks).

Even after re-signing Osa Odighizuwa, the defensive line is far from finished. Solomon Thomas was added on Day 2, but he hardly moves the needle. Payton Turner also signed with Dallas. Edge rusher Dante Fowler Jr. signed back with Dallas as well.

Another off-ball linebacker is also a defensive need, given Eric Kendricks and Nick Vigil are free agents. LB Kenneth Murray came over via trade.

Another CB might also make sense, given the cornerback free agents Dallas has to overcome BOTH in 2025 (Jourdan Lewis signed with the Jags) and in 2026. They just don’t have much depth at the position, and you can never have too many good cover cornerbacks in today’s NFL. Trevon Diggs‘ contract is also structured in a way that the team can be flexible with him. He has also been tough to rely on after missing 21 games the last two seasons (all but two games missed in 2023) with knee injuries.

Buzz: Tony Pauline noted that Dallas will potentially prioritize WR in the NFL Draft, and they could even move up to select one. Jerry Jones won’t be able to resist himself from Texas’ Matthew Golden.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: S Donovan Wilson, OLB Micah Parsons, G Tyler Smith, DE Sam Williams, CB C.J. Goodwin, WR Jalen Tolbert, QB Will Grier, G Jack Anderson, TE Jake Ferguson, DE Earnest Brown, CB Andrew Booth Jr., CB Kemon Hall, CB Luq Barcoo, RB Malik Davis, OLB Luiji Vilain, T Matt Waletzko, CB DaRon Bland.

Miami Dolphins

Team Needs: DT, EDGE, CB, IOL

Interior offensive line. It’s a glaring hole on Miami’s roster. The rushing attack struggled immensely in 2024, and it won’t get easier to improve with two starters needed at both guard spots.

RG James Daniels was brought in for one of those spots. But the 27-year-old is coming off a torn Achilles injury. OT Larry Borom was also signed after four years in Chicago. Depth signing. They also signed LT Jackson Carman.

Mike McDaniel knows how critical it is to invest in the offensive line position, and we should expect them to do both in free agency and the NFL Draft.

Offensive tackle is less concerning, given that Patrick Paul is expected to start in the spot vacated by Terron Armstead.

Liam Eichenberg is entering the last year of his contract. And he is a depth piece at best.

Robert Jones signed with the Cowboys.

Going offensive line is very much the expectation given Miami is favored heavily at -110 to select an OL player with their first pick in the upcoming draft. However,

The other main need is in the defensive trenches. Bradley Chubb is expected to return, but the team lacks depth across the defensive line.

3 of the defensive lineman who finished top-5 in snaps played last season are currently not on the roster.

Miami has shown a willingness to draft DL/EDGE players with high-end draft capital. In the last 6 drafts, when Miami had a first-round pick, they drafted a DL/EDGE piece in 4 of those drafts. 5 of those drafts included a DL/EDGE in Rounds 1 or 2.

Starting safety Jevon Holland is expected to leave in free agency (Giants) while Elijah Campbell will return on a 1-year deal. DB Ifeatu Melifonwu was also added.

Safety Ashyn Davis also signed after previous playing for the Jets. Safety is still a need though as the guys they signed to replace Jevon Holland are on one-year deals. Secondary in general needs major upgrades.

Another cornerback opposite Jalen Ramsey is also advised.

Adding a second tight end also makes sense, given the lack of depth behind Jonnu Smith.

Nick Westbrook-Ihkine was added as a 3rd WR.

Given Devon Achane‘s injury history and Jaylen Wright‘s lackluster rookie campaign, RB also seems like a logical spot for additional bodies. They signed Alexander Mattison who played for the Raiders last season.

Buzz: According to the Athletic’s Mike Silver, the Bills beat out the Dolphins and 49ers for Joey Bosa. At least the Dolphins will get the maximum four compensatory picks based on the number of free agents they lost according to ESPN.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: TE Jonnu Smith, DE Jaelan Phillips, P Jake Bailey, ILB Channing Tindall, DT Neil Farrell Jr., WR Tanner Conner, WR Erik Ezukanma.

Indianapolis Colts

Team Needs: TE, OL, EDGE, DT, S

As noted by the Athletic’s James Boyd, New Indy DC Lou Anarumo puts a lot of pressure on the backend. Therefore, a smart and savvy safety playing center field is a must-have requirement for the 2025 Colts defense.

Camryn Bynum was an ideal addition to the safety room.

That and legitimate cornerbacks. The Colts pass defense has been a sieve other than slot CB Kenny Moore. CB Charvarius Ward was a great addition the Colts secondary. Corey Ballentine was also signed.

They also released DT Raekwon Davis.

With the backend on defense improved in free agency, the Colts can shift gears toward offense in the NFL Draft.

What might help is adding an actual threat at the tight end position. Please, Shane Steichen, stop the four-man tight end rotations.

As I referenced in my AFC South Forecast, Ballard didn’t sugarcoat the need for a massive upgrade at tight end in 2025 in his post-season presser. They are going to add a receiving threat. Meanwhile, Mo Alie-Cox and Kylen Granson (Eagles) are impending free agents. Jelani Woods can’t ever stay healthy.

I fully anticipate them adding another TE of consequence either in the NFL Draft or through trade. Doesn’t take a genius to figure they might want to trade for someone like Dallas Goedert (previously played under Steichen in Philly).

The interior of the offensive line also needs fine-tuning, given center Ryan Kelly (Vikings) and guard Will Fries (Vikings) are both gone. The two projected starting tackles will be free agents in 2026.

Danny Pinter was re-signed to be the team’s starting center.

Running back depth is an under-the-radar need – with backup RB Trey Sermon on an expired deal. Given the strength of the class, expect Indy to add a reliable second running back behind Jonathan Taylor. Khalil Herbert was brought in on a one-year deal.

Chris Ballard hasn’t stopped talking about adding competition in the QB room alongside Anthony Richardson. The only question is whether it will be a veteran or rookie signal-caller (or both). Anything the franchise can do to help Richardson improve as a passer is crucial.

Buzz: The Colts had real interest in Daniel Jones. That interest resulted in a one-year deal worth $14 million. The competition is on. Too bad the OL looks more like the Giants OL than anybody would like.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: RT Braden Smith (agreed to a restructure), DE Samson Ebukam, DE Kwity Paye, WR Alec Pierce, TE Jelani Woods, LT Bernhard Raimann, S Nick Cross, WR Laquon Treadwell, TE Sean McKeon, TE Albert Okwuegbunam, RB Salvon Ahmed, ILB Jacob Phillips and OLB Cameron McGrone.

Atlanta Falcons

Team Needs: EDGE, S, DT, C

On Monday March 10th, the Falcons released DT Grady Jarrett, who quickly signed with the Chicago Bears.

OLB Leonard Floyd was released from the 49ers and then signed with the Falcons.

Death, taxes, and the Falcons’ lack of pass rush. It’s the same need every year and 2025 is no different. Luckily, it’s a great year to draft edge rushers. Don’t blow this, Atlanta.

Cornerback is next, as the Falcons are still searching for a strong No. 2 across from A.J. Terrell. Mike Hughes signed back on a three-year deal worth $18 million. Dee Alford may also not return.

Another safety is also a need with former second-rounder Richie Grant signing with the 49ers.

Reserve linemen RT Storm Norton was retained along with Elijah Wilkinson. The Falcons did a great job in keeping the majority of their OL intact from 2024.

Buzz:  According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano and Jeremy Fowler, the Falcons were ready to lose C Drew Dalman in free agency. Graziano noted Atlanta will tender restricted free agent C Ryan Neuzil and he will replace Dalman.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: DT David Onyemata, RT Kaleb McGary, TE Kyle Pitts, ILB Kaden Elliss, WR Drake London, P Bradley Pinion, WR Ray-Ray McCloud, OLB Arnold Ebiketie, ILB Troy Andersen, OLB DeAngelo Malone, WR Phillip Dorsett, DE Khalid Kareem, WR David Sills, CB Lamar Jackson, C Jovaughn Gwyn, RB Tyler Allgeier.

Arizona Cardinals

Team Needs: OL, CB , EDGE, WR, DT

Similar to their fellow red birds, the Cardinals also have an overt need for a pass rush. They posted the second-worst PFF pass rush grade inc2024.

The front seven needs to improve greatly overall. Without pressure, the Cardinals couldn’t stop the run.

Cardinals HC Jonathan Gannon isn’t ready to completely write off 2024 FA additions such as Justin Jones and Bilal Nichols, but he acknowledges they need to present a bigger interior threat to opposing offenses (AZCardinals.com). Losing NT Roy Lopez won’t make things easier.

They added DT Dalvin Tomlinson to a 2-year deal worth $29 million.

Specific to the pass rush side, the team was able to reunite edge rusher Josh Sweat with Gannon, inking him to a 4-year deal worth nearly $76 million.

Additionally, the offensive line needs a major makeover.

LG Evan Brown (re-signed) but Will Hernandez and RG Trystan Colon remain pending free agents after playing significant snaps in 2024. RT Jonah Williams is playing in the last year of his contract after playing just six games in 2024 because of a knee injury.

At inside linebacker, captain Kyzir White anchored the defense in 2024, but he has hinted at leaving (“Thank you AZ,” he posted) and is expected to test free agency,  according to AZcardinals.com. Fellow backup linebacker Krys Barnes is also a free agent.

OLB Baron Browning signed a 2-year, $15 million contract extension. LB Akeem Davis-Gaither also signed.

WR Zay Jones will return on a one-year deal but another WR is not out of the question for the Cardinals.

I would also strongly consider perimeter CB. Sean Murphy-Bunting wasn’t fantastic last season after getting a big chunk of change from Arizona in 2024 (3 years and $22 million). He is still projected to start, but the Cardinals would be wise to invest in another boundary CB.

Buzz: Trey McBride is expected to be extended before he enters the final year of his rookie contract.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: OT Jonah Williams, S Jalen Thompson, RB Michael Carter, G Nick Leverett.

Cincinnati Bengals

Team Needs: EDGE, IOL, CB, RB

Cincy has their hands filled trying to re-sign all of their offensive free agents this offseason. But to their credit, they got it done.

Both Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase were locked up to 4-year extensions according to Jordan Schultz.

Meanwhile, the defense was a mess last year and will likely be without Sam Hubbard (retired) and potentially Trey Hendrickson as he either wants a long-term contract or to be traded.

This needs defensive help at all three levels. The defensive line is the most prominent and immediate need. 2023 first-rounder Myles Murphy has yet to live up to his draft pedigree.

Starting DT B.J. Hill re-signed on a three-year deal.

DE Joseph Ossai came back on a 1-year contract. DT Tedarrell (T.J.) Slaton also signed with the Bengals.

The Bengals drafted defensive tackles Kris Jenkins Jr. and McKinnley Jackson last year, so they might be banking on massive sophomore leaps to go along with bringing back some veterans.

But CB can’t be ignored, given their two starters are in the last years of their contracts. Slot CB Mike Hilton is also a free agent. They signed Marco Wilson on Day 2 of free agency.

After the team cut veteran guard Alex Cappa, the interior of the offensive line is somewhat a need with Cody Ford also a free agent. The Bengals signed Ford to a 2 year $6 million contract extension. Former Saints guard Lucas Patrick signed with the Bengals in free agency.

Per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Bengals were hoping to extend TE Mike Gesicki. Fowler’s reporting was spot on, as Gesicki signed a 3-year, $25.5 million contract extension before the legal tampering period.

There’s Chase Brown and not much else behind him. Zack Moss is on the roster but is coming off a season-ending neck injury. Khalil Herbert is now a free agent after a mid-season trade, leaving Brown and a massive void of depth. They brought in former Bengals RB, Samaje Perine, after his one-year stint with the Chiefs.

Chase Brown szn is a full go, if the Bengals decide Brown and Perine with a Day 3 RB are enough. I tend to think they go in that direction, given all the dire needs they have defensively.

Buzz: The team is expected to trade away All-Pro DE Trey Hendrickson. Tony Pauline first reported that the Bengals would part ways with him and trade him if they can’t meet his financial demands of around $30 million per season.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: DE Trey Hendrickson, S Geno Stone, LB Germaine Pratt, C Ted Karras, RB Zack Moss, CB Daxton Hill and CB Cam Taylor-Britt.

Seattle Seahawks

Team Needs: IOL, EDGE, S, LB, DT

Geno Smith was entering the last year of his deal. Seattle dealt the 34-year-old to the Raiders in exchange for a third-round pick. They now need a QB and figure to be very active in the Sam Darnold market.

They weren’t just active. They were the big winners of the Darnold sweepstakes, landing the ex-Vikings QB on a 3 year deal worth nearly $100M.

Seattle has an evident need for offensive line improvement after trudging out a bottom-10 grade unit per PFF in 2024. The tackles (when healthy) are solid, but the interior offensive line leaves a lot to be desired. Both tackles are in the final year of their deals. LG Laken Tomlinson signed with the Texans.

The organization has been vocal about wanting to run the football and that starts up front in the blocking department.

The first move they made to the offensive line was adding OL Josh Jones who was with Baltimore last season. The former third-round pick by the Cardinals has been used sparingly over the last two seasons but has the versatile to play all over the offensive line.

GM John Schneider during this offseason via Seahawks.com: “We’ve got to be able to get speed on defense, and be able to run the ball, and get our identity.” We want to be able to run the ball wherever we’re playing. Having that physical run game gets the defense rocking, too.”

South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori has met with Seattle multiple times during the pre-draft process. And boy can that guy FLY.
Safety Coby Bryant is on the last year of his rookie contract and Rayshawn Jenkins remained unsigned at the time of this recording (although he shouldn’t move the needle).

Obviously, WR was a massive need after the team traded away DK Metcalf after already releasing Tyler Lockett the week before free agency kicks off.

The team signed Marquez Valdez-Scantling to a one-year deal, reuniting him with former Saints OC, Klint Kubiak. They also landed Cooper Kupp bringing him back to his home state of Washington. The WR room is going to look very different than it did in 2024.

Linebacker Ernest Jones is also a free agent and is coming off reported knee surgery. Last season, we saw Jones’s positive impact on the Seahawks’ defense. Jones eventually signed a 3-year $33 million contract extension.

Losing DT Jarran Reed and/or Johnathan Hankins would also create a major area of need. Luckily, the Seahawks were able to sign Reed to a three-year deal prior to FA.

DeMarcus Lawrence also signed with the Seahawks.

Buzz: Sam Darnold Signs With Seahawks: Fantasy Football Advice (2025) and Cooper Kupp Signs With Seahawks: Fantasy Football Advice (2025)

Notable 2026 Free Agents: TE Noah Fant, LT Charles Cross, P Michael Dickson, DE Boye Mafe, RB Kenneth Walker, T Abraham Lucas, CB Tyler Hall, S Coby Bryant, DT Quinton Bohanna, G Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu, S JT Woods, CB Damarion Williams, S Ty Okada, QB Sam Howell, CB Tariq Woolen.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Team Needs: EDGE, LB, CB, TE

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out what the Buccaneers need the most. Defense.

Whether it’s an edge rusher, cornerback or an off-ball linebacker, the “need” is clear for Todd Bowles’ unit to improve after last season’s porous showing. They added Haason Reddick on the first day of free agency on a one-year deal and brought back 35-year-old linebacker Lavonte David. However, it’s still not enough. Logan Hall will be a free agent at the end of the season.

On the offensive line, LG Ben Bredeson was a free agent, but the Buccaneers brought him back on a three-year deal.

Buzz: The Buccaneers wanted Chris Godwin back. Repeat. The Buccaneers “desperately” wanted to re-sign WR Chris Godwin. And they got their guy. Chris Godwin signed a 3 year $66 million contract extension with Tampa Bay. Took a reported “$20 million” discount to come back to TB and not go to the Patriots. Really Chris!?

Notable 2026 Free Agents: WR Mike Evans, SS Jordan Whitehead, DE Logan Hall, G Luke Goedeke, RB Rachaad White, DE Adam Gotsis, OLB Deion Jones, WR Marquez Callaway, TE Cade Otton, CB Dallis Flowers, DE Mike Greene and CB Zyon McCollum.

Denver Broncos

Team Needs: RB, WR, EDGE/DT, TE

Defensive tackle DJ Jones was a free agent, but the Broncos were able to retain him on a three year $39 million contract.

The Broncos won’t bring back RB Javonte Williams (Cowboys), so expect them to add to their backfield in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Whether it be RB/WR/TE, the search for Sean Payton’s “joker” is full go. The only notable move in the first two days of free agency that Denver made among WRs…Trent Sherfield.

After RB, more WRs and even another TE aren’t out of consideration. Not many established guys after Courtland Sutton and we know Evan Engram’s lengthy injury track record.

Linebacker Cody Barton signed with the Titans, while Alex Singleton is slated to his free agency next season. They replaced Barton with ex-49ers LB Dre Greenlaw.

Talanoa Hufanga was added during FA to shore up the safety position.

The short-term needs are weighted heavily to offensive skill players to build around Bo Nix. But defensively there is a long-term need on the defensive line with three defensive ends on the roster hitting free agency in 2026 between Zach Allen, John-Franklin Meyers and Malcolm Roach.

Buzz: According to Tony Pauline, expect the Broncos to not only draft a tight end, but sign one in free agency. The Broncos had Evan Engram in for a visit, but he left without a contract. He has visited other teams such as the Chargers. Engram ultimately decided to go with the Broncos, joining the AFC West team on a 2-year $23 million deal.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: DE Zach Allen, WR Courtland Sutton, DE John Franklin-Myers, LB Alex Singleton, K Wil Lutz, TE Adam Trautman, S P.J. Locke, DE Malcolm Roach, LB Nik Bonitto, G Calvin Throckmorton, CB Damarri Mathis.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Team Needs: QB, OL, DL, RB

The Steelers wanted Justin Fields to be their quarterback in 2025. This has been a constant drumbeat since the start of the offseason, and I predict a deal will be done once free agency kicks off. It was one of the few FA predictions Pat Fitzmaurice and I agreed on.

But Joey P prevailed as the winner, projecting him to go to the Jets.

The Steelers signed Mason Rudolph to a 2-year contract worth $8 million, reuniting the two parties after the QB’s one-year stint in Tennessee. Rudolph showed out in the final portion of the 2023 season for Pittsburgh, going 3-1 before getting bounced in the postseason against the Bills.

On March 9th, the Steelers sent a 2nd-round pick to the Seahawks in exchange for WR DK Metcalf.

Sources in Indianapolis have stated the Steelers will look at the trenches with the 21st pick. That being said, they are also looking to add more WRs, according to Nick Farabaugh of Penn Live, in addition to the defensive line in the draft.

The remaining WR depth behind Metcalf and George Pickens is “slim” pickings, and I’m not convinced that Pickens won’t be moved before it’s all said and done.

Pittsburgh has to come to grips with the reality that Cameron Heyward and T.J. Watt won’t be around forever.

Across the OL, RG James Daniels is a free agent (Dolphins) with Isaac Seumalo hitting FA next season.

Najee Harris won’t return, so the Steelers will need to add another RB mate to pair with Jaylen Warren. Warren is a restricted free agent, so it will be easier for the Steelers to sign him long-term. As expected, Warren received a second-round tender on the former UDFA. The veteran addition in the backfield came in the form of Kenneth Gainwell, who was with the Eagles the last four seasons.

CBs Donte Jackson (Chargers) and Cameron Sutton are FAs, putting Pittsburgh in a position to add secondary depth. They added the recently released ex-Eagles CB Darius Slay and former Jets CB Brandin Echols. S Juan Thornhill was also signed.

Buzz: Aaron Rodgers has also entered the chat to become the Steelers’ next QB. Adding another WR alongside George Pickens was inevitable. But now the question becomes…is Pickens expendable in the final year of his contract with Metcalf locked-in for the long haul? Nobody knows better than the Steelers when the time is “right” to get away from certain WRs.

The Steelers have also been doing extensive work on this year’s RB class. Seems odd given they don’t have a second round pick. Well, they don’t have one as of right now…

Notable 2026 Free Agents: OLB T.J. Watt, G Isaac Seumalo, S Miles Killebrew, SS DeShon Elliott, RB Cordarrelle Patterson, DE Montravius Adams, DE Dean Lowry, WR George Pickens, DE DeMarvin Leal, RB Jonathan Ward, QB Skylar Thompson, WR Brandon Johnson and WR Calvin Austin.

Los Angeles Chargers

Team Needs:  TE, EDGE, DT, WR, RB, CB

Last year’s starting center Bradley Bozeman was a a free agent but re-signed with the Chargers.

The Athletic’s Daniel Popper lays out the case for the Chargers to bolster their interior offensive line given the identity of the head coach and offensive play caller. Also, there’s a clear upgrade opportunity at right guard between incumbents Trey Pipkins and Jamaree Salyer.

OG Mekhi Becton was signed for two years and $20 million after his resurgence with the Eagles last season. Andre James also signed with the Chargers after getting released from the Raiders.

EDGE rusher Joey Bosa was released after failing to stay consistently healthy for the Chargers while carrying a massive salary cap hit. The opted to sign Khalil Mack to a one-year $18MM deal.

DT Poona Ford also departed in free agency while they added DT Teair Tart.

CB Donte Jackson and CB Benjamin St. Juste were signed to bolster the secondary.

Asante Samuel Jr. is still a free agent. Cam Hart and Tarheeb Still were 2024th 5th-round picks.

The secondary seems very far from finished, given the two FA signings, bottom-10 graded CBs last season.

At linebacker, the Bolts signed Troy Dye and Denzel Perryman.

J.K. Dobbins was the team’s best RB in 2024, but he is slated to hit free agency. After he failed to stay healthy for a full 17-game season, I imagine L.A. won’t put all their eggs in the Dobbins basket even if he does return. Gus Edwards definitely won’t be returning after he was released.

One of my few “correct” predictions ahead of free agency was for Najee Harris to end up in Los Angeles.

Jim Harbaugh gets his guy that he couldn’t stop raving about during Harris’ college recruitment.

Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston rest atop the WR depth chart, but there’s definitely room for another wideout, given Joshua Palmer is slated to leave in free agency having signed with the Buffalo Bills.

The Chargers ended up signing Mike Williams, after a disastrous 2024 campaign. Williams, 31 in October, experienced a turbulent season, starting with the New York Jets before being traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Across both teams, he accumulated just 21 receptions for 298 yards.

His familiarity with quarterback Justin Herbert cannot be ignored, nor the fact that last year he was returning from torn ACL from Week 3 of the 2023 season. With a full bill of health and rapport with his QB, I expect Williams to have his fair share of boom weeks to make him a viable option in best ball formats. I mean if Johnston could score 8 receiving TDs in this offense…Williams should find the end zone a handful of times.

Tight end is one of the most glaring holes on the roster, and it’s an obvious position the Chargers will look to upgrade through the 2025 NFL Draft. They signed veteran, Tyler Conklin, to a one-year deal worth $3M, which won’t preclude them from taking a tight end in the NFL Draft.

Buzz: Could George Pickens still be a landing spot for the Chargers? Or do they run it back with Keenan Allen one more time?

Notable 2026 Free Agents: G Trey Pipkins, FS Alohi Gilman, LT Rashawn Slater, G Zion Johnson, OLB Bud Dupree, LS Josh Harris, RB Hassan Haskins, RB Jaret Patterson, OLB Caleb Murphy, DT Christopher Hinton, WR Dez Fitzpatrick, DT Otito Ogbonnia, S Kendall Williamson, RT Jamaree Salyer.

Green Bay Packers

Team Needs: EDGE, CB, WR, C, DT

According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, the Packers would like to add a veteran receiver to their room this offseason. They have to add more WRs given the injury to Christian Watson (contract year) and Romeo Doubs entering the last year of his rookie contract after dealing with a flurry of concussions in 2024.

All they have done is add Mecole Hardman.

The Packers also need an impact-making pass rusher. GM Brian Gutekunst has been very clear with his goal to become better at pressuring opposing QBs.

At the Scouting Combine, Gutekunst said via Yahoo Sports, “We need to affect the quarterback more in our front four, with just four players,” Gutekunst said. “I’m excited about the guys we have in the room; we’ll see if we add to it, but that’s gotta get better if we’re going to accomplish our goals we want to accomplish in this season.”

As noted by LombardiAve.com, the team fired defensive line coach Jason Rebrovich at the end of the season, highlighting the need for change. DeMarcus Covington was hired as his replacement after spending 2017-2024 in several roles with the Patriots. Run-stuffer Tedarrell (T.J.) Slaton left in free agency, signing with the Bengals.

Cornerback Jaire Alexander‘s time with the Packers has all but reached its conclusion. Even if he comes back to the team, he cannot be trusted to stay healthy.

And with multiple-depth CBs on expiring contracts (Eric Stokes (Raiders), Corey Ballentine (Colts), Robert Rochell (Chiefs), the secondary lacks reliable depth. The Packers signed former Raiders slot CB, Nate Hobbs, to a 4-year contract ($48 million).

The team feels good about their offensive line, but center Josh Myers signed with the Jets. Aaron Banks was signed during FA.

Buzz: The Packers didn’t land either Adams or Metcalf…but they never pursued either according to sources. They are running out of potential “No.1” WRs to sign. That is unless they believe Amari Cooper or another veteran WR could be that experienced presence.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: ILB Quay Walker, DT Devonte Wyatt, WR Christian Watson, QB Malik Willis, T Sean Rhyan, LS Matthew Orzech, C Trey Hill, WR Romeo Doubs, T Zach Tom.

Minnesota Vikings

Team Needs: S, CB, IOL, QB, DT

The Sam DarnoldJ.J. McCarthy discourse as reached it’s conclusion.

“Minnesota is ready to roll with J.J. McCarthy.”

Darnold’s implosion in the last two games of 2024 put him in a rough spot, but let’s not pretend that it was entirely his fault. The offensive line crumbled down the stretch, particularly from the interior. Dalton Risner is a free agent and took over for a benched Ed Ingram.

Ingram and center Garrett Bradbury will also be free agents in 2026. Ingram was traded to the Texans on March 13th. Bradbury is expected to be released.

Center Ryan Kelly and OG Will Fries were both signed from the Colts to bolster the offensive interior.

Offensive line performance aside, the last two games for Darnold played a part in the Vikings moving away from Darnold in favor of their second-year QB from Michigan.

The team wanted to bring back Aaron Jones, but he will almost certainly be joined by a rookie RB in the Minnesota backfield. Jones inked a two-year deal to stay with the Minnesota Vikings. RB Jordan Mason will back up Jones after the Vikings were able to work out a trade with San Fran to acquire the running back. They signed him to a two-year $10.5 million contract.

The Vikings desperately need cornerback depth, given the departures of Stephon Gilmore and Shaquill Griffin are all entering free agency. However, they signed CB Isaiah Rodgers in free agency and retained Byron Murphy on a three-year extension. They also signed Jeff Okudah to a one-year deal.

The Vikings are favored in the betting market (+175) to select a CB with their first pick. But I think this is a sneaky spot for safety No. 1 to come off the board. The Vikings lost Cam Bynum to the Colts in FA and Harrison Smith isn’t getting any younger.

Safety Josh Metellus is also in the last year of his contract.

More beef on the defensive line is also something the Vikings needed to address. They lost Jonathan Bullard and Jerry Tillery. But they upgraded with DT Jonathan Allen and two-time Pro Bowl DT Javon Hargrave (2 years and $30 million). These guys are a bit on the older side so an injection of youth in the defensive interior is a must.

Minnesota also signed WR Rondale Moore.

Buzz: J.J. McCarthy is the undisputed QB1 in Minnesota behind a revamped offensive line. At least until Aaron Rodgers makes his “decision.”

Notable 2026 Free Agents: LB Andrew Van Ginkel, TE Josh Oliver, FS Harrison Smith, FB C.J. Ham, S Josh Metellus, LB Brian Asamoah, LS Andrew DePaola, QB Brett Rypien, DE Jonathan Harris, CB Nahshon Wright and CB Ambry Thomas.

Houston Texans

Team Needs: OL, WR, RB, TE, FB

Hot Take: The Texans need to improve their offensive line. Even though they are returning some personnel the latest transactions have this offensive line looking completely different.

RG Shaq Mason was released. OT Laremy Tunsil was traded to the Commanders. OG Kenyon Greene was traded to the Eagles in exchange for safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.

Houston needs to find a way to get the best five out there in their best spots to succeed. That’s where the Texans’ new offensive coaching staff, along with any new players, will hopefully come into play.

LG Laken Tomlinson signed with the Texans in their first direct move in FA to boost the OL. He wasn’t great last year in Seattle, but he has rapport with DeMeco Ryans from their time overlap in San Fran.

The also added OT Zach Thomas on Day 3 of free agency. He played for the Patriots and Texans in 2024. He started the year in New England at LG, before switching over to LT.

On Day 4 of free agency, they traded for Ed Ingram. Ingram got benched last season with the Vikings.

On March 19th, they made a bigger move across the OL by signing Cam Robinson, who played for Minnesota and Jacksonville last season.

They also signed tackle, Trent Brown.

Houston also has major question marks behind Nico Collins at the WR position. Tank Dell is injured, and Stefon Diggs is a free agent off a torn ACL.

Diggs is expected to test free agency, but Houston wouldn’t shy away from a reunion at the right price.

They added Christian Kirk for next-to-nothing from the Jaguars with Dell likely on the shelf for the majority of the 2025 season.

Considering the team signed Joe Mixon to an extension after acquiring him last season, I think Kirk is not just a stop-gap player.

Mixon will turn 29 in July. He signed a three-year, $27-million contract extension that includes $13 million guaranteed after being traded for next to nothing last offseason.

However, I am hesitant to be bullish on Mixon again, given I like him because of his situation, workload, etc. His draft price will increase compared to last season.

We’ll see changes in the Texans’ offense in 2025, which could negatively influence Mixon’s fantasy output. He also has an “out” at the end of the year, so he can be cut for $2 million compared to his $10.5 million salary.

Dameon Pierce may get more offseason hype entering the final year of his rookie contract. But I’ll wait to see this first because the current coaching staff loves Mixon. And Pierce has never seemed to be favored under this current regime. More likely he gets traded than featured in the 2025 Texans offense.

Most incumbent veteran starting RBs should not feel safe, given the talent/depth of the incoming class.

Folorunso Fatukasi (DT) and Jerry Hughes (DE) are entering free agency, making the defensive front a priority (specially defensive tackle). Mario Edwards and Sheldon Rankins were both added at DT.

Fullback is also an under-the-radar need, given the new offense Nick Caley (formerly of the Rams) will be installing. I thought there was a chance they would sign Jakob Johnson giving his overlap with Caley in New England.

Tight end Dalton Schultz‘s poor 2024 outing makes me more bullish on rookie Cade Stover as a buy in dynasty. He might be one year away from fully taking over the TE1 role (Schultz has an out in his contract after the 2025 season). Although this could become a dreaded 3-headed monster at tight end with Brevin Jordan returning after a 2024 injury-ridden season.

Buzz: Houston traded a 2026 7th-round pick for WR Christian Kirk. The Texans traded LT Laremy Tunsil and a fourth-round pick to the Commanders for second, third and fourth-round picks. The Texans are going for a full rebuild across the OL after how poorly the unit played in 2024.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: OLB Danielle Hunter, FS Jimmie Ward, DE Denico Autry, CB Derek Stingley Jr., QB Davis Mills, DT Tim Settle, P Tommy Townsend, S Jalen Pitre, TE Brevin Jordan, WR John Metchie, OLB Christian Harris, CB Anthony Averett and RB Dameon Pierce.

Los Angeles Rams

Team Needs: CB, OT, LB, TE, QB

Matthew Stafford is back for now, but the Rams have to be considering contingency plans for their quarterback of the future. Jimmy Garoppolo was brought back on a one-year deal.

The team re-signed offensive tackle Alaric Jackson and WR Tutu Atwell before free agency officially kicked off.

Center Coleman Shelton signed with the Rams in FA. RT Rob Havenstein is in the last year of his contract.

That being said, the Rams still need to replace Cooper Kupp, Joseph Noteboom, and Demarcus Robinson.

On the eve of free agency, the Rams made a splashy more by signing WR Davante Adams to a 2-year $44 million contract.

They also inked DT Poona Ford to a 3-year deal to help against the run.

Linebackers Troy Reeder and Christian Rozeboom (Panthers) are also FAs. The signed Nate Landman at off-ball-linebacker, but the room is still overall very lackluster.

The LA CBs have been treading above water for seemingly the last two seasons. The Rams would be smart to get ahead of it after finishing fifth-worst in yards per attempt faced (7.5). CB Ahkello Witherspoon returned after not getting much attention in free agency.

The Rams current TE room consists of Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen. Higbee is 32 years old in the last year of his contract. The Rams were in the running for Brock Bowers last season, so don’t be shocked if they look to add a dynamic pass-catcher at the position in the NFL Draft.

Buzz: The Rams released Kupp to save $7.2M against the salary cap.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: RT Rob Havenstein, WR Tutu Atwell, TE Tyler Higbee, SS Kamren Curl, WR Quintez Cephus, OLB Tony Fields, CB A.J. Green, CB Decobie Durant, OLB Keir Thomas, CB Shaun Jolly, RB Kyren Williams.

Baltimore Ravens

Team Needs: IOL, EDGE, DT, CB/ S, TE, K

At the start of the offseason is was possible that the Baltimore Ravens would lose offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley to a higher bidder during free agency. But they didn’t let him hit the open market.  Stanley signed a 3-year, $60 million contract extension on March 8th before free agency even kicked off.

Still, they weren’t without their losses. Guard Patrick Mekari signed with the Jaguars.

Cornerbacks Brandon Stephens, Tre’Davious White and Arthur Maulet are all gone.

The defense lacked consistent pressure on opposing quarterbacks, so an EDGE rusher in a great draft class is a must-have addition. OLB Odafe Oweh and OLB David Ojabo are set to be FAs at the end of the season. Kyle Van Noy led the team with 14 sacks last season but will be 35 years old in 2025.

Safety also might need another body. Marcus Williams was released.

The Ravens signed WR DeAndre Hopkins to a one-year deal.

Buzz: The talks of a Ravens-Mark Andrews eventual split seem to have some legs given it’s the last year of his deal. All three of Baltimore’s TEs are in the final year of their contracts.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: TE Mark Andrews, RB Derrick Henry, ILB Kyle Van Noy, S Kyle Hamilton, C Tyler Linderbaum, OLB Odafe Oweh, OLB David Ojabo, DT Travis Jones, LS Nick Moore, WR Keith Kirkwood, WR Anthony Miller, RT Daniel Faalele, CB Jalyn Armour-Davis, TE Charlie Kolar, P Jordan Stout and TE Isaiah Likely.

Detroit Lions

Team Needs: EDGE, IOL, S

The defense let the Lions down in the back half of 2024. Losing Aidan Hutchinson was a major blow, and Detroit can’t afford to enter this season without more pass-rush answers.

They already released Za’Darius Smith but re-signed Marcus Davenport. Former Cardinals NT Roy Lopez was also added for depth along with DT Levi Onwuzurike.

The defensive tackle signings were ideal, given how poor they were in between the tackles defensively.

This class has a ton of great defensive line prospects, so it’s a great problem to have for Detroit.

In addition to the trenches, the secondary needs love. The Lions’ secondary struggled in 2024, allowing the third-most passing yards to opposing QBs. Cornerbacks Carlton Davis (Patriots) and often-injured Emmanuel Moseley are entering free agency, and Amik Robertson is in the final year of his contract.

Davis signed with the Patriots, so the Lions followed up by adding D.J. Reed from the Jets.

Via Sports Illustrated, Graham Glasgow‘s performance declined in 2024. He allowed 36 pressures and earned a Pro Football Focus grade of 57.9, highlighting the need for upgrades. Kevin Zeitler‘s future is uncertain as he approaches 35 as a free agent. He signed with the Titans.

Buzz: The Lions re-signed LB Derrick Barnes (3-year $25.5 million extension per Ian Rapoport). Tim Patrick is also returning.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: DT D.J. Reader, DE Aidan Hutchinson, ILB Alex Anzalone, WR Kalif Raymond, CB Amik Robertson, WR Jameson Williams, OLB Jalen Reeves-Maybin, DE Josh Paschal, S Kerby Joseph, WR Tom Kennedy, CB Stanley Thomas-Oliver, G Netane Muti and T Jamarco Jones.

Washington Commanders

Team Needs: EDGE, OL, RB

The Commanders re-signed linebacker Bobby Wagner before the FA period but released DT Jonathan Allen (Vikings). Edge rusher Dante Fowler Jr. signed back with Dallas.

They signed DT Javon Kinlaw to a three-year deal.

Both top RBs on the roster will be free agents in 2026. I’d be shocked if they don’t draft an RB in such a strong class to save salary cap space in future seasons.

One of the reasons why I think that Brian Robinson Jr. is a SELL in dynasty fantasy football.

Washington is also looking for more help protecting Jayden Daniels. And even after they added Deebo Samuel, he is a band-aid fix. He agreed to a 1 year, $17M renegotiated contract

They still need more long-term options among the WRs outside Terry McLaurin, given their flurry of FAs. Noah Brown and K.J. Osborn will return on 1-year deals.

Zach Ertz signed a 1-year, $6.25 million contract extension to play another season with Daniels. Blocking tight end, John Bates, also inked a three-year extension. Not great for second-year tight end, Ben Sinnott.

The secondary also needs help after finishing bottom-3 in PFF passing grade in 2024. A healthy CB Marson Lattimore should help, but they still need to add depth with several CBs hitting the open market along with safety Jeremy Chinn (Raiders).

S Will Harris signed with the Commanders on a two-year deal ($6 million). They also signed CB Jonathan Jones to a one-year deal worth $5.5 million.

Buzz: The Commanders are a team to watch as they are “trying to beef up their O-line,” per Diana Russini. She was spot on. OT Laremy Tunsil was traded to the Commanders from Houston with 2025 4th round pick (#127) for 2026 2nd round pick, 2026 4th round pick, 2025 3rd round pick (#79) and 2025 7th round pick (#250) per Spotrac.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: WR Deebo Samuel, WR Terry McLaurin, T Andrew Wylie, RB Austin Ekeler, S Jeremy Reaves, RB Brian Robinson, G Bobby Hart, WR Chris Moore, CB Bobby Price, FS Percy Butler, WR Mike Strachan, TE Tyree Jackson and WR Lawrence Cager.

Buffalo Bills

Team Needs: CB, EDGE/DT, WR, S, IOL

The Amari Cooper experiment did not pan out. But that hardly means that Buffalo will stop looking for wide receiver playmakers. Mack Hollins signed with the AFC East rival New England Patriots.

Josh Palmer was signed in free agency.

The offensive line is intact for 2025, but Buffalo might want to add some interior depth with two guys hitting FA in 2026.

The defensive line/pass rush is more of a demand in 2025. Several guys are free agents this year and next season. Buffalo could really use a game-wrecker off the edge to help them win in the later months of the season. They released Von Miller but extended Greg Rousseau (4-year, $80 million contract). Joey Bosa signed with the Bills after his release from the Chargers.

The Bills also signed DE Larry Ogunjobi and OLB Michael Hoecht in free agency, but both are facing six-game suspensions due to PEDs.

You can always use more guys that can cover.

Buffalo is no different. Only the Raiders had a worst PFF coverage grade than they did in 2024…

Safety Damar Hamlin is returning but CB Rasul Douglas is a free agent. This secondary need is lessened after the team re-signed CB Christian Benford to an extension. Gives them more flexibility in Round 1 to not force a CB selection. But they’d probably prefer not to have to consistently rely on Dane Jackson.

CB Kaiir Elam was traded to Dallas with a 2025 6th round pick for 2025 5th round pick and 2025 7th round pick.

Buzz: LB Terrel Bernard signed a four-year, $50 million deal with $25.2 million guaranteed per Spotrac. Buffalo has a lot of reworking to do with guys entering the final year of their contracts. Running back James Cook might end up being the odd man out if Buffalo feels they can replace his production with Ray Davis and a rookie RB. Ty Johnson will be returning on a two-year contract.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: DT DaQuan Jones, G Connor McGovern, DE A.J. Epenesa, G David Edwards, QB Mitchell Trubisky and RB James Cook.

Kansas City Chiefs

Team Needs: DL, OT, EDGE, RB, TE

Patrick Mahomes needs more protection up front. The Chiefs desperately have to add a left tackle. They also need to replace Joe Thuney after trading him to the Bears.

OG Trey Smith will return after signing his franchise tag ($23.4 million). Jaylon Moore signed a two-year deal worth $30 million to protect Mahomes’ blindside at LT.

Jawaan Taylor was the most penalized tackle last season and can easily be moved on after the 2025 season.

The Chiefs had a ton of WRs on 1-year deals in 2024 but have a strong top-two between Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice entering 2025. But given Rice’s injury/potential suspension and Worthy’s new off-field issue…they will have to add more WRs to the roster.

Marquise Brown signed a 1-year, $11 million contract extension ($4M more than last season with the increase in the salary cap). JuJu Smith-Schuster will also return on a one-year deal.

RB is also a position of need. Isiah Pacheco was not the same guy last season after his injury, and he is entering the last year of his rookie contract.

The Kansas City Chiefs  signed running back Elijah Mitchell to a one-year deal worth up to $3.5 million, adding depth to their backfield. They also re-signed Kareem Hunt.

The defensive line needs more big bodies. KC lost DT Tershawn Wharton this offseason. Adding another pass rusher opposite George Karlafitis would be ideal to restock the defensive line.

Travis Kelce‘s seasons are on a year-by-year basis, and it remains to be seen if Jared Wiley or Noah Gray is the heir to the tight end throne in KC.

Buzz: The Chiefs signed LB Nick Bolton to a massive extension. CB Kristian Fulton was signed to a two-year deal in free agency.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: TE Travis Kelce, CB Trent McDuffie, DE George Karlaftis, WR Skyy Moore, FS Bryan Cook, LB Leo Chenal, S Deon Bush, TE Anthony Firkser, WR Tyquan Thornton, LB Shaun Bradley, LB Blake Lynch, CB Joshua Williams, RB Isiah Pacheco.

Philadelphia Eagles

Team Needs: S, EDGE, CB, TE/WR, IOL

The Eagles released veterans CB Darius Slay and CB James Bradberry so they might need more depth at the cornerback position. Isaiah Rodgers (Vikings) and Avonte Maddox won’t be back.

I’d also anticipate more invested into the edge/pass rush department. Milton Williams is gone (Patriots), alongside Josh Sweat and Brandon Graham (retired).

OLB Azeez Ojulari signed with the Eagles on a one-year deal ($4 million).

Given the strength at tight end in this year’s class, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them draft one. Howie Roseman is always one step ahead of replacing guys. The two TEs on the depth chart are in the last years of their contracts.

According to Josina Anderson, TE Dallas Goedert could be flipped in a potential trade. This becomes even more of a story to follow given that Philly signed former John Mackey Award winner, Harrison Bryant, to a one-year contract.

More interior OL pieces are always in play for Philly, but they are more relevant this offseason than in years past. Mekhi Becton and Jack Driscoll were FAs. Becton signed with the Chargers in free agency.

The Eagles acquired Kenyon Greene from the Texans in part of pick exchange with safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.

Gives them a slightly bigger need in that safety spot.

The Eagles also signed A.J. Dillon to replace Kenneth Gainwell as a potential RB2.

Buzz: Watch out for the Eagles to make a splash in the trade market for a marquee pass rusher. Before free agency started, Philadelphia re-signed Zack Baun on a 3-year $51M contract. They also made a trade for Texans OL Kenyon Greene, who they will inevitably turn into a Pro Bowl starter in less than 12 months.

Notable 2026 Free Agents: TE Dallas Goedert, DT Jordan Davis, WR Jahan Dotson, S Reed Blankenship, P Braden Mann, C Cam Jurgens, LB Nakobe Dean, G Brett Toth, CB Parry Nickerson, TE Nick Muse, CB Tariq Castro-Fields, CB Tristin McCollum, OLB Ochaun Mathis, RB Ty Davis-Price, DE K.J. Henry, G Darian Kinnard, WR Danny Gray, WR Elijah Cooks and TE Grant Calcaterra.
