Nick Westbrook-Ikhine Signs With Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins have bolstered their receiving corps by signing wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine to a two-year, $6.5 million contract, with $3.2 million guaranteed.
Westbrook-Ikhine, 28 by the start of the season, entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Tennessee Titans in 2020. Over his five year NFL career, the 6-foot-2 and 211-pound wideout appeared in 78 games, starting 39, and amassed 126 receptions for 1,776 yards and 19 touchdowns. In 2024, he recorded career-highs with 60 targets and 497 receiving yards.
Finding the end zone was his calling card in 2024, scoring nine times on just 32 receptions. But given his poor yards per route run (1.14, 86th) and the variance of TDs annually, this production likely was more of a flash-in-the-pan rather than a precursor of a future star.
Joining a talented Miami receiving group headlined by Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle and Malik Washington, NWI will battle for the WR3 spot with second-year WR, Malik Washington. However the former Titan could very much be fourth or fifth in the target pecking order considering how involved the TEs and RBs are involved in Miami’s offense.
Zay Jones Re-Signs With Cardinals
The Cardinals re-signed Zay Jones to a 1-year, $4.4M deal.
Fantasy Impact: Jones was suspended five games last season and also missed some time with a hamstring injury. He’ll remain in a depth role in the Cardinals wide receiver room and likely off the fantasy radar.
Demarcus Robinson Signs With 49ers
The 49ers have signed WR Demarcus Robinson to a two-year, $9.5M deal.
Fantasy Impact: Robinson is joining an offense that will have a much different look at wide receiver after the 49ers dealt Deebo Samuel to the Commanders. The 30-year-old veteran tallied 505 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 31 receptions with the Rams last season.
