Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.
NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (3/21)
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (G – OKC): 24.5 points (alt line)
SGA has been on fire in March, averaging 37.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game as the MVP candidate is doing his best to fend off Nikola Jokic. The team’s success should give the nod to the Thunder’s superstar, but Jokic should garner plenty of first place vote consideration. SGA has scored 25 or more points in 12 straight games and in 34 of his last 36 overall. Slap the More on SGA for Friday night basketball.
Pick: More
Kevin Durant (F – PHX): 19.5 points (alt line)
The Phoenix Suns have finally moved into play-in position as they hold the tiebreaker over the Dallas Mavericks and currently sit at 10th in the West. Not your typical play-in team, the Suns will join the Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Sacramento Kings in what should actually be an exciting play-in quartet. KD should come out hot in tonight’s contest and should see a full complement of minutes, provided he can help keep the Suns competitive against one of the best teams in the league (at least by way of regular season record). KD has dropped 20 or more points in 39 of his last 44 games. He scored 23 points against Cleveland earlier this season. Light up the More on KD for Friday night’s NBA action.
Pick: More
Cade Cunningham (G – DET): 19.5 points (alt line)
Cade Cunningham has the Detroit Pistons well clear of the play-in and within 1.5 games of fourth place in the Eastern Conference. Detroit has been the pleasant surprise of the 2024-25 season, and that is largely due to Cade blossoming into an all-star and emerging superstar. The Pistons have some exciting young talent but have surrounded them with some decline phase but still capable vets who help make the Pistons one of the deeper teams out East. Cade has been rolling since the all-star break, averaging 26.1 points per game on .481 shooting. He has scored 20 or more points in 12 of his last 15 and 28 of his last 32 games overall. Cade dropped 40 on the Dallas Mavericks earlier this season. Clap the More on Cade for Friday night at Sleeper Picks.
Pick: More
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
