2025 NFL Mock Draft (Round 1)
1. Tennessee Titans: Travis Hunter (CB – Colorado)
Tennessee needs a franchise quarterback but it’s a weak quarterback class and it’s hard to pass on one of the best prospects in this year’s draft class.
2. Cleveland Browns: Abdul Carter (DE – Penn State)
The Browns could also use a quarterback but will need an eventual Myles Garrett replacement if he’s traded.
3. New York Giants: Shedeur Sanders (QB – Colorado)
The Giants have their choice of which signal-caller to build their franchise around. They ultimately choose Shedeur Sanders
4. New England Patriots: Will Campbell (OG – LSU)
You can make a case for Will Campbell or Michigan’s Mason Graham. Ultimately, you need to protect Drake Maye, and Campbell will do just that.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham (DT – Michigan)
With a new head coach and general manager, the Jaguars can’t afford to get too cute here, so they take the best player available.
6. Las Vegas Raiders: Cam Ward (QB – Miami)
Tom Brady and Pete Carroll get their quarterback of the future.
7. New York Jets: Tyler Warren (TE – PSU)
The Jets announced they are moving on from Aaron Rodgers, selecting a quarterback should be in their draft day plans. But with multiple teams needing a quarterback ahead of them they may have to trade up to get one.
After missing out on Brock Bowers last year, they finally get their tight end in Tyler Warren.
8. Carolina Panthers: Jalon Walker (DE – Georgia)
Bryce Young looked like he finally put it together in the second half of the 2024 season. Adding offensive weapons to support him is worth considering, Carolina also needs to focus on its defense.
Jalon Walker is the best pass rusher available on the board.
9. New Orleans Saints: Mykel Williams (DE – Georgia)
The Saints could go wide receiver here but they need to focus on their pass rush, which ranked 23rd in the NFL last season.
10. Chicago Bears: Kelvin Banks Jr. (OT – Texas)
The Bears need a tackle to keep their quarterback on his feet.
11. San Francisco 49ers: Josh Simmons (OT – Ohio State)
I wouldn’t be shocked if the 49ers locked in Will Johnson due to Charvarius Ward‘s contract expiring soon, but San Francisco ultimately goes with an offensive tackle to replace an aging Trent Williams
12. Dallas Cowboys: Tetairoa McMillan (WR – Arizona)
Every mock draft has Ashton Jeanty going to the Cowboys, but not this one. Dallas goes out and gets a stud receiver to play alongside CeeDee Lamb.
13. Miami Dolphins: Armand Membou (OT – Missouri)
Miami can go in a lot of different ways with this pick but ultimately draft the No. 2-ranked offensive tackle in this draft, according to ESPN’s Jordan Reid.
14. Indianapolis Colts: Colston Loveland (TE – Michigan)
There is a good chance Tyler Warren may fall here but he was already mocked to the Jets earlier at pick No. 7.
Colston Loveland is an underrated game-changing tight end who will give Anthony Richardson another solid weapon the Colts desperately need.
15. Atlanta Falcons: Mike Green (DE – Marshall)
Mike Green led the country in sacks with 17 in 2024. Atlanta could use an upgrade on the edge, especially with Matthew Judon becoming a free agent.
16. Arizona Cardinals: James Pearce Jr. (DE – Tennessee)
The Cardinals get some help for a defensive line that ranked 26th in pressure rate.
17. Cincinnati Bengals: Walter Nolen (DT – Ole Miss)
It sounds like the Bengals plan on using the franchise tag on Tee Higgins for the second straight year, which allows them to focus on defense here.
18. Seattle Seahawks: Tyler Booker (OT – Alabama)
Seattle can be so unpredictable in drafts, but they need to focus on the offensive line. Booker will help solidify the line immediately.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Emeka Egbuka (WR – Ohio State)
The Bucs land arguably the best wide receiver in this year’s draft class.
20. Denver Broncos: Matthew Golden (WR – Texas)
Here comes the run on wideouts. With Courtland Sutton a pending free agency after the 2025 season, Matthew Golden gives Denver an elite wide receiver for the foreseeable future.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Luther Burden III (WR – Missouri)
It sounds as if the Steelers are rolling out Justin Fields for the 2025 season. He will need another playmaker alongside George Pickens.
22. Los Angeles Chargers: Ashton Jeanty (RB – Boise State)
Jim Harbaugh is drooling over the fact Ashton Jeanty got past the Cowboys and is still on the board at pick 22.
23. Green Bay Packers: Shemar Stewart (DE – Texas A&M)
I think Green Bay is a dark horse in the Myles Garrett sweepstakes, but if they can’t make a trade with the Browns work, look for them to take a shot on another Aggie in Shemar Stewart.
24. Minnesota Vikings: Jahdae Barron (CB – Texas)
Jahdae Barron has experience playing outside cornerback as well as in the slot. The Vikings need a lockdown cornerback to compete in the NFC North.
25. Houston Texans: Grey Zabel (OG – North Dakota State)
The Texans’ primary goal should be to protect C.J. Stroud.
26. Los Angeles Rams: Josh Conerly (OT – Oregon)
I wanted to throw in a surprise in this mock and have the Rams draft Matthew Stafford‘s replacement in Jaxson Dart. That seemed a bit unrealistic, so I instead went with a player who could protect Stafford.
27. Baltimore Ravens: Malaki Starks (S – Georgia)
Malaki Starks will be a nice side-kick for Kyle Hamilton in the defensive backfield.
28. Detroit Lions: Nic Scourton (DE – Texas A&M)
Everyone wants to see the Lions make a splash and trade for Myles Garrett. The Lions still need to add another pass rusher, if they don’t land Garrett, so they turn their attention to another Texas A&M product in Nic Scourton.
29. Washington Commanders: Jack Sawyer (LB – Ohio State)
Led by Jayden Daniels, the Commanders may have one of the better offenses in the league, so now it’s time to focus on the defense. Jack Sawyer’s play during the College Football Playoff (CFP) may have catapulted him into the first round.
30. Buffalo Bills: Derrick Harmon (DT – Oregon)
Derrick Harmon led FBS defensive tackles in pressures (34) during the 2024 season. He would be a huge addition to the Bills’ defensive line.
31. Kansas City Chiefs: Kenneth Grant (DT – Michigan)
The Chiefs’ run defense looked like a piece of Swiss cheese during the playoffs. Plugging in Kenneth Grant would help fill a lot of holes.
32. Philadelphia Eagles: Jihaad Campbell (LB – Alabama)
Despite having one of the best defenses in the league, the Eagles may have to retool. Josh Sweat and Zack Baun are headed for free agency and it may require a lot of money to re-sign the duo. Jihaad Campbell brings a physical presence to an already-stacked defense.
