While the results from Super Bowl LIX are not even a week old, it’s never too early to prepare for the 2025 fantasy football season. Everyone knows practice makes perfect, and there is no better way to practice than with the FantasyPros Mock Draft Simulator.
I am picking 10th in this 12-team, 1QB, and half-point PPR-scoring redraft mock draft. The lineup for this mock draft is one quarterback, two running backs, two wide receivers, one tight end, two flex, and six bench spots. Let’s dive into an early 2025 fantasy football mock draft.

Early 2025 Fantasy Football Mock Draft
My goal for this fantasy football mock draft was to punt on the quarterback and tight end positions while loading up on running backs early on. Let’s see how it turned out.
Round 1, Pick 10 – Derrick Henry (RB – BAL)
Many had concerns about drafting Henry last year because of his age and career workload. However, the future Hall of Famer finished as the RB3, averaging 19.2 half-point PPR fantasy points per game, one of the best averages of his career. Furthermore, the superstar had 13 rushing touchdowns as the focal point of the offense, ending the regular season with three consecutive games totaling at least 138 rushing yards and 19.9 fantasy points.
Round 2, Pick 3 – Bucky Irving (RB – TB)
While the Buccaneers could add a running back in the offseason, Irving will be a popular second-round pick if the backfield looks like it does today come Week 1. The former Oregon star ended his rookie year on fire, averaging 17.8 rushing attempts for 104.5 yards and 19.3 half-point PPR fantasy points per game over his final six healthy regular season contests. Furthermore, Irving out-touching Rachaad White 19-3 in the team’s lone playoff game.
Round 3, Pick 10 – Ashton Jeanty (RB – Boise State)
Fantasy players shouldn’t expect to land Jeanty late in the third round of their drafts come August. The former Boise State star had one of the best years in college football history in 2024. He is likely the only running back to get selected in the first round of the NFL Draft later this offseason. While most mock drafts have him landing with the Dallas Cowboys, the ideal fantasy fit for Jeanty is the Denver Broncos.
Round 4, Pick 3 – Davante Adams (WR – NYJ)
Adams likely won’t be with the Jets in 2025. Reportedly, the team plans to move on from Aaron Rodgers and his favorite wide receiver. While many expect the pair to play together again next season, that’s not guaranteed. However, Adams can still play at a high level, regardless of his quarterback. The future Hall of Famer averaged 102 receiving yards, a touchdown, and 20.2 half-point PPR fantasy points per game over the final five contests.
Round 5, Pick 10 – Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR – ARI)
Unfortunately, Harrison had a disappointing rookie season. He was drafted as a top-10 wide receiver, only to end the year as the WR29, averaging 9.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game, a lower average than Josh Downs (10.5). However, the former Ohio State star showed signs of life to end the season, averaging 5.5 receptions on eight targets for 79.5 receiving yards and 13.7 fantasy points per game over the final two weeks.
Round 6, Pick 3 – J.K. Dobbins (RB – LAC)
The Chargers were surprisingly a fantasy-friendly offense last season. Dobbins finished the year as the RB23, averaging 13.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game despite missing four contests with a knee injury. He started the season on fire, averaging 133 rushing yards and 20.5 fantasy points per game over the first two weeks. While the veteran had some up-and-down performances, Dobbins should be a solid fantasy RB2 option if he returns to Los Angeles.
Round 7, Pick 10 – Jayden Reed (WR – GB)
Reed is one of my early favorites to draft next year. He started the 2024 season on fire, averaging 19.6 half-point PPR fantasy points per game over his first four contests with Jordan Love. Unfortunately, injuries to the star quarterback led to Josh Jacobs becoming the focal point of the offense. Yet, expect Reed to bounce back in 2025, especially with Christian Watson likely to miss most of the year with a torn ACL.
Round 8, Pick 3 – Jalen McMillan (WR – TB)
Fantasy players should be curious to see how things play out in Tampa Bay this offseason. Chris Godwin is an upcoming free agent and might not return, opening the door for McMillan to take over as the team’s No. 2 wide receiver. The former Washington star ended the season on fire, averaging 4.8 receptions on 6.2 targets for 63.2 receiving yards, 1.4 touchdowns, and 17.4 half-point PPR fantasy points per game over the final five weeks.
Round 9, Pick 10 – Quinshon Judkins (RB – Ohio State)
The 2025 NFL Draft running back class might be the deepest in recent memory. While Ashton Jeanty is the grand prize of the class, don’t forget about the two Ohio State stars, especially Judkins. He had over 1,000 rushing yards and at least 14 touchdowns every college season. Judkins ended his college career with a bang, totaling 121 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns on only 13 touches in the National Title Game.
Round 10, Pick 3 – Jauan Jennings (WR – SF)
Reportedly, the 49ers gave Deebo Samuel Sr. permission to seek a trade. Meanwhile, Brandon Aiyuk is coming off a torn ACL. While Ricky Pearsall showed some flashes as a rookie, fantasy players should prioritize Jennings over him in 2025. The veteran was the team’s top wide receiver last season, averaging 11.5 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. Furthermore, Jennings was a go-to target for Brock Purdy, totaling double-digit targets in a third of his contests.
Round 11, Pick 10 – Adam Thielen (WR – CAR)
Thielen is coming off his best fantasy season since 2021, averaging 11.6 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He was on pace for 82 receptions on 105 targets for 1,046 receiving yards and nine touchdowns over a 17-game pace. More importantly, the veteran finished as the WR11 over the final five weeks of the fantasy season, averaging 16.1 fantasy points per game. Thielen could remain Bryce Young’s No. 1 wide receiver next year.
Round 12, Pick 3 – Marvin Mims Jr. (WR – DEN)
While the Broncos could add a big-name pass catcher this offseason, Mims is an excellent late-round target if that doesn’t happen. The former Oklahoma star was likely like a draft bust before ending last season on fire. He averaged 6.5 receptions for 77 receiving yards, two touchdowns, and 22.9 half-point PPR fantasy points per game over the final two weeks. Mims could be a significant part of a fantasy-friendly Denver offense in 2025.
Round 13, Pick 10 – Bo Nix (QB – DEN)
Speaking of the Broncos’ potentially fantasy-friendly offense, Nix is one of my favorite late-round quarterback targets for next year. He finished his rookie season as the QB7, averaging 18.6 fantasy points per game. Nix started off producing fantasy points because of his legs. However, the former Oregon star produced with his arm late in the year, averaging 267.7 passing yards, three touchdowns, and 25.5 fantasy points per game over the final three regular-season contests.
Round 14, Pick 3 – Tyler Warren (TE – Penn State)
A rookie has finished as the fantasy TE1 in back-to-back years. While he likely won’t make it three in a row, Warren has significant fantasy upside as a rookie. The former Penn State star had an outstanding 2024 season, setting career highs in receptions (104), receiving yards (1,233) and touchdowns (eight). Furthermore, Warren can be a factor in the run game, rushing for 218 yards and four touchdowns on 26 attempts last year.
