2025 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Benjamin Yurosek
Benjamin Yurosek (TE – Georgia)
6-foot-4 | 247 Pounds
Background
Benjamin Yurosek was a three-star recruit who originally attended Stanford, where he played the first four seasons of his collegiate career. Saw just one target in the shortened 2020 season, then took over a starting role the following year, posting a career-best line of 42-653-3 (15.5). Followed that up with a 2022 line of 49-445-1 (9.1).
Missed most of 2023 due to a shoulder injury (16-239-1 over six appearances) before transferring to Georgia. This past season, Yurosek caught 15 passes for 185 yards while splitting time with other tight ends on the team.
Positives
Experienced starter who put together two productive seasons early in his collegiate career. Versatile player who took about half of his career snaps as an in-line tight end, but moved around the formation a lot, especially at Stanford. At Georgia, Yurkosek played a lot of in-line/H-back snaps. Shows very good competitiveness and physicality as a blocker. Engages with appropriate form, working hard through the whistle.
Yurosek does a nice job of lining up opponents in space, with good range to get up to the second level and engage. Hand placement is accurate. Shows a pretty good anchor in pass protection snaps. Was asked to run routes to all three levels of the field. Athleticism is pretty impressive, with crisp cuts at the stem; flattens off, avoiding drift so defenders can’t get back into the play. Smooth accelerator with above-average speed to threaten down the seam from any position.
Gets his head around quickly to provide an early safety valve underneath on shorter routes like hooks and hitches. Natural hands-catcher who can bring in throws away from his frame. Shows good concentration in contested-catch situations. No-nonsense approach after the catch to pick up additional yardage.
Negatives
Spent five years in college — was last productive in 2022. Was primarily used as a blocker and asked to run clearing routes on passing plays at Georgia. 2023 shoulder injury will require further investigation during the pre-draft process. On the smaller side for an in-line tight end. Tougher and more physical than he is functionally strong as a blocker.
Can occasionally have balance issues which result from playing outside his frame when blocking, causing him to fall off of attempts. Yurosek has three drops against 31 receptions over the past two seasons. Lacks ideal size for the red zone. Not a particularly elusive player with the ball in his hands. Doesn’t break a ton of tackles either. Didn’t have a ton of experience in pass protection.
Summary
An interesting prospect in the sense he appeared on track to be a highly-regarded prospect early in his career at Stanford, but got injured in 2023 and wasn’t very heavily involved in Georgia’s passing game after transferring.
However, he is a versatile player and smooth athlete who can threaten down the seam or work as a safety valve in the passing game, showing impressive competitiveness as a blocker. Has the talent to contribute at the next level, but might fall into the mid-to-late-round range because of his lack of recent production.

Tight Ends
A very solid overall tight end who has the type of polish you’d expect given his pedigree. Loveland lined up split out wide or in the slot very often during the games reviewed, showing impressive speed, route-running skills and body control. Provided the Wolverines with a reliable target who could create mismatches against different types of defenders.
Despite not being a primary inline blocker for the team, he is also a physical, aggressive and tough blocker with good effort, sound fundamentals and impressive functional strength. A do-it-all type who looks likely to be a first-round pick at this point, although Lovelans is not quite the physical/athletic freak that typically goes in the first round at his position.
Projection: Round 1/Round 2

A big, smooth and versatile tight end who has the functional strength to execute different blocking assignments and who stuffed the stat sheet as one of the focal points of Penn State’s offense this year.
Running a variety of different routes from different alignments and showing the ability to create on underneath throws or come down with contested catches, Warren looks like a reliable option with the skills to play either inline or as a flex option at the next level. Looks likely to be one of the first two tight ends off the board, potentially as high as the first round.
Projection: Round 1/Round 2

Just a big, tough tight end who works hard to sustain in the run game and who presents his quarterback with a big target and a reliable pair of hands underneath. Taylor was asked to execute various blocking assignments and line up all over the offense in school, so as a three-year SEC starter with pro bloodlines, the level of polish is about what you’d expect.
May never be the fastest or most dynamic receiver, but it doesn’t take a lot of imagination to envision Taylor developing into a no-frills, starting-caliber in-line tight end.
