Monday’s NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions: Tristan da Silva, Karl-Anthony Towns, Quentin Grimes (1/6)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (1/6)

Tristan da Silva (F – ORL): 13.5 points

da Silva has stepped into a significant role for the Magic and has responded with some impressive play. Tristan has scored 15 or more points in six of the last seven games in which he has seen 30 minutes or more of action. He shined with a career-high 25 points against Toronto on Friday but followed that up with a six point stinker against Utah in which he shot .272 on 11 field goal attempts last night. The rookie will look to bounce back tonight against the Knicks in what should be a more free-flowing and high-scoring affair (the Magic and Knicks totaled 227 points in the last game in New York). Pick: More

Karl-Anthony Towns (F/C – NYK): 0.5 double doubles

Towns has recorded a double double in five straight games and in 30 of his 34 games played. He is averaging a league high 14.0 rebounds per game, making the double double line an excellent value despite the depressed multiplier. KAT managed just eight boards against the Magic late last month but hauled in 22 rebounds on them five games earlier. Towns double double is one of the top plays at Sleeper Picks. Period. Pick: More

Quentin Grimes (G – DAL): 9.5 points (alt line)

Grimes has taken on a larger role with Luka Doncic sidelined, finally returning to form for the Mavericks in his last game with 26 points, two rebounds, six assists, and one steal. Grimes has proven he is capable of responding when tapped for a larger role, stringing together three 20 point plus outings earlier this season when pressed into expanded action due to injuries. The 14.5 has some appeal here, but Grimes is still taking just 10-14 shots a game, meaning a poor shooting night could leave him short of the mark like what we saw with his 11 point outing against Sacramento despite hoisting 12 field goal attempts (with zero trips to the line). At 9.5, this should be a relatively easy hit. Grab the More on Grimes for Monday night at Sleeper Picks.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
