8 Dynasty Trade Targets for Deep Leagues (2025 Fantasy Football)

The entire NFL world will be focused non-stop on Super Bowl LIX for the next two weeks the fantasy football community has turned their attention to the offseason. Dynasty fantasy players should spend this part of the offseason looking for bargains on the trade block.

Let’s look at eight of my favorite deep league dynasty trade targets.

Deep League Dynasty Trade Targets

Daniel Jones (QB – MIN)

The biggest offseason story will be the Vikings’ quarterback unit. Sam Darnold is a free agent after having a career year, while J.J. McCarthy is waiting in the wings. However, Jones is the wild card in the room. While he is also a free agent after signing with the team midseason, the veteran could have the starting role with Minnesota in 2025. Darnold could leave for a better offer on the open market, leaving Jones to start if McCarthy isn’t ready after missing his rookie year with a knee injury.

Joe Milton III (QB – NE)

Anyone who thinks Milton will replace Drake Maye as the Patriots’ franchise quarterback is wrong. However, he could be trade bait for New England this offseason. The former Tennessee star only played one game as a rookie, mostly facing backups. However, Milton was outstanding, completing 75.9% of his pass attempts for 241 yards and a touchdown in the air while totaling 16 rushing yards and a score on the ground, ending the game with 19.2 fantasy points. He could get traded and end up starting somewhere in 2025 or 2026.

Miles Sanders (RB – CAR)

Unfortunately, Sanders has been a massive bust since signing with the Panthers during the 2023 offseason. The veteran had 184 rushing attempts for 637 yards and three touchdowns in his first two years in Carolina. The Panthers will almost certainly move on from Sanders this offseason, saving up to $6.7 million in salary cap space. While he struggled in Carolina, the veteran had some solid moments, including over 115 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns in Week 18. Sanders could have flex appeal if he lands with the right team.

Dameon Pierce (RB – HOU)

Pierce had an impressive rookie season. Unfortunately, he has had limited fantasy production the past two years after the Texans hired Bobby Slowik as their offensive coordinator. However, Houston fired Slowik last week. While Joe Mixon had an outstanding 2024 season, the Texans could give Pierce more work next year. Furthermore, the veteran could get traded as he heads into the final year of his rookie contract. Pierce scored at least 14.2 half-point PPR fantasy points in the two games with more than six rushing attempts this season.

Devaughn Vele (WR – DEN)

Denver will look to improve their receiving core in the offseason. While Marvin Mims Jr. ended the year on fire, Vele is the cheaper and better trade target. The seventh-round rookie finished second among the team’s wide receivers in half-point PPR fantasy points per game (6.6). Furthermore, he could be a long-term replacement for Courtland Sutton, who is entering the final year of his contract in 2025. More importantly, Vele averaged 9.4 fantasy points per game in the six contests with at least four targets as a rookie.

Jalen Coker (WR – CAR)

The Panthers could use their first-round pick in the NFL Draft on a wide receiver, especially if Adam Thielen is a salary cap casualty. However, fantasy players should hope the veteran gets released, allowing Coker to take over as the team’s full-time slot receiver. The undrafted rookie wide receiver averaged 12.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game in the four contests with six or more targets. Furthermore, Coker had the fourth-highest catch rate over expectation (+11.4%) among qualified wide receivers this season. He could be a sophomore-year breakout candidate.

Theo Johnson (TE – NYG)

While everyone should be excited about Malik Nabers’ fantasy outlook for next year, let’s not forget about the Giants’ other rookies. Johnson missed the final five games with a season-ending foot injury that required surgery. However, the former Penn State star was playing well before suffering the foot injury. He averaged 5.8 targets and 7.9 half-point PPR fantasy points per game over his final four contests. Unless New York drafts Tyler Warren or Colston Loveland, Johnson should be the clear-cut starting tight end with a new quarterback under center.

Michael Mayer (TE – LV)

Unfortunately, Mayer’s fantasy outlook got squashed after the Raiders drafted Brock Bowers. While he struggled to have a consistent role behind the superstar rookie, Mayer shined when given a chance. The second-year pro had seven receptions on nine targets for 68 receiving yards and 10.3 half-point PPR fantasy points in Week 14 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, his only game with more than four targets this season. Hopefully, Mayer earns a more consistent role under Pete Carroll or gets traded with the tight end free agency class being awful.
