2025 NFL Mock Draft: Picks & Predictions (Two Rounds)

2025 NFL Mock Draft: Picks & Predictions (Two Rounds)

This year’s NFL Draft lacks star power at the quarterback position but it is loaded with defensive linemen. In this two-round mock draft, I have 11 defensive linemen going in the first round. That number could balloon to as many as 15 as the process plays out. Whether it’s at defensive tackle or EDGE rusher, this is the year to invest in bolstering your pass rush. The talent up front is deep, diverse and ready to make an impact.

On the offensive side of the ball, this class is lacking in star power but looks deep at running back. Two tight ends could also go in the first round. Both Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland will get first-round grades from a lot of teams at a position starved for production and could wind up being strong fantasy contributors. Warren, in particular, is of interest there. A lot will change between now and Draft Day but Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders will battle for the distinction of being the top overall pick. I think Ward has a leg up right now.

2025 NFL Draft Guide: Mock Drafts, Scouting Reports & More

2025 NFL Mock Draft: Two Rounds

Let’s dive into our two-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft. Here’s a look at Round 1

2025 NFL Mock Draft (Round 1)

1. Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward (QB – Miami)

This is not a great quarterback class but Cam Ward gets the slight nod over Shedeur Sanders. Ward will endear himself to Titans fans with his work ethic and winning personality. He will be the best quarterback Tennessee has had since Steve McNair.

2. Cleveland Browns: Shedeur Sanders (QB – Colorado)

The Browns find their way out of the Deshaun Watson nightmare by drafting Shedeur Sanders and using his rookie contract as a buffer while they pay out Watson. Sanders isn’t the perfect fit for Cleveland but from a cost perspective, it makes sense for them to go quarterback.

3. New York Giants: Travis Hunter (CB/WR – Colorado)

Travis Hunter falls into the Giants’ laps at three, pairing him with Mailk Nabers on offense and adding him to a secondary that was quietly serviceable this year. New York will still need to find a quarterback but Hunter is the best player in this draft.

4. New England Patriots: Tetairoa McMillan (WR – Arizona)

The Patriots grab Tetairoa McMillan to give Drake Maye a top-tier receiver, something they were sorely lacking this year. At 6-foot-5, McMillan is a matchup problem. He was one of the most productive wideouts in college football the last two seasons.

5. Jacksonville Jaguars: Will Johnson (CB – Michigan)

Jacksonville is in an enviable position because they are one of the few teams at the top of the draft who don’t need a quarterback. They’ll gladly pair Will Johnson with Tyson Campbell to form one of the best cornerback duos in the AFC.

6. Las Vegas Raiders: Jalen Milroe (QB – Alabama)

Oh, those tricky Raiders. Going completely off-script, they grab Jalen Milroe as the surprise of the first round. I am guessing they will ultimately try to trade up with Cleveland to grab Sanders but the Raiders will almost certainly make a splash regardless.

7. New York Jets: Will Campbell (OT – LSU)

If things fall this way, the Jets would be thrilled. Getting a player of Will Campbell’s caliber without moving up is the best-case scenario. New York has a lot of holes to fill but Campbell gives them a safe pick to build around.

8. Carolina Panthers: Mykel Williams (DE – Georgia)

Carolina’s defense was objectively awful this year. Drafting Mykel Williams, who has arguably the highest ceiling of any defender in this year’s draft, gets them started on fixing that.

9. New Orleans Saints: Abdul Carter (EDGE – Penn State)

Abdul Carter could go in the top five, but there is some uncertainty about what Cleveland will do at pick two. For now, he ends up with New Orleans who will gladly take one of college football’s most disruptive players. Carter will need to add some weight but he is a game-wrecker.

10. Chicago Bears: Kelvin Banks (OT – Texas)

Kelvin Banks is versatile enough to play inside or kick out to tackle. No matter where he ends up, Keeping Caleb Williams upright should be at the top of the priority list for the next regime in Chicago.

11. San Francisco 49ers: Mason Graham (DT – Michigan)

The 49ers had a nightmare season but with that comes the opportunity to select someone like Mason Graham, who becomes an immediate starter.

San Francisco had a really hard time against the run this year and Graham is one of the most technically sound defensive players in the draft. He is a perfect fit for John Lynch.

12. Dallas Cowboys: Ashton Jeanty (RB – Boise State)

Taking a running back in the first round, even one as special as Ashton Jeanty, is not the best use of draft capital but the Cowboys need to take some pressure off of Dak Prescott.

Taking Jeanty gives Dallas a bonafide workhorse and I am sure Jerry Jones sees shades of prime Ezekiel Elliott here.

13. Miami Dolphins: Jalon Walker (LB – Georgia)

The Dolphins could go with Malaki Starks but I think Jalon Walker gives them a player they can use all over the field. He can blitz and come off the edge, and he is good enough against the run to be a three-down player.

14. Indianapolis Colts: Tyler Warren (TE – Penn State)

Tyler Warren was Penn State’s best weapon in the passing game. He showed unique versatility as he could also line up at quarterback and in the Wildcat formation. He gives the Colts a difference-maker at a position where there aren’t many of them.

15. Atlanta Falcons: Walter Nolen (DT – Ole Miss)

Atlanta has needs across its defensive line, so there is a natural fit with Walter Nolen, a former five-star recruit, who may lack the consistency of Mason Graham but can be more explosive. For a team that allowed 4.5 yards per carry (YPC), Nolen will be a welcome addition.

16. Arizona Cardinals: James Pearce Jr. (EDGE – Tennessee)

Arizona will probably go defense with their first pick, although a receiver is also in play. Taking James Pearce Jr., who had a much higher grade before his junior season, gives them a pash rushing threat they’ve been lacking.

17. Cincinnati Bengals: Malaki Starks (S – Georgia)

The Bengals were bad at every level of defense in 2024. Malaki Starks will help fix that. Starks is the type of player who can anchor the secondary in Cincinnati for the next decade. The Bengals will be thrilled if he falls this far.

18. Seattle Seahawks: Armand Membou (OT – Missouri)

Armand Membou was terrific in 2024 and will climb draft boards once he tests. The Seahawks need help on the interior of the offensive line and Membou can move inside where his 325-pound frame will be a welcome addition.

19. Denver Broncos: Luther Burden III (WR – Missouri)

The Broncos add Luther Burden as a weapon for Bo Nix and he fits what Sean Payton likes to do. Burden is very good after the catch and is a perfect compliment to the bigger-bodied Courtland Sutton on the outside.

20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Nic Scourton (EDGE – Texas A&M)

Nic Scourton underwhelmed in his lone season in College Station after transferring from Purdue, but he had 17 sacks in three seasons and won’t turn 21 until August. He injects some youth into a Tampa Bay defense that wore down as the season progressed.

21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Benjamin Morrison (CB – Notre Dame)

The Steelers’ biggest need is quarterback but there isn’t a Pitt quarterback available at 21 (I kid), so Benjamin Morrison is the pick.

Morrison gives Pittsburgh immediate help in a secondary that has struggled to find a reasonable No. 2 CB. Before a season-ending injury, Morrison looked like he might go in the top 10 of the draft, so this is a nice value.

22. Los Angeles Rams: Aireontae Ersery (OT – Minnesota)

Esery is a mountain of a man (6-foot-6, 330 pounds) and he should help fortify the Rams offensive line.

Los Angeles has done well to shore up their defense in recent years, so now they go with Esery, who started the last 38 games of his career at left tackle for the Golden Gophers.

23. Los Angeles Chargers: Colston Loveland (TE – Michigan)

Colston Loveland fills a big need for the Chargers and Jim Harbaugh knows him well from his time at Michigan. Loveland caught 117 passes for the Wolverines and he would be a seamless fit into the Los Angeles offense.

24. Green Bay Packers: Shavon Revel Jr. (CB – East Carolina)

At 6-foot-3, Shayon Revel Jr. has the type of length teams covet. He slips this far only because of an ACL tear that cost him his 2024 season.

25. Houston Texans: Donovan Jackson (iOL – Ohio State)

The Texans need all the help they can get along the offensive line. Donovan Jackson should be a starter as a rookie and the type of player who carves out a 10-year NFL career.

26. Washington Commanders: Jihaad Campbell (LB – Alabama)

Finally, an Alabama player comes off the board as Jihaad Campbell steps into the middle of the Commanders’ defense. He totaled 117 tackles as a junior. His size, speed and athleticism will be a welcome addition.

27. Baltimore Ravens: Derrick Harmon (DT – Oregon)

The Ravens continue to stockpile value and talent, nabbing Derrick Harmon to fortify their interior defensive line.

Baltimore could certainly use secondary help but Harmon fills a relative need and the Ravens are as good as anyone at taking the best player on the board.

28. Minnesota Vikings: Kenneth Grant (DT – Michigan)

Minnesota doesn’t have many glaring needs but help along the interior defensive line is one area they could improve. Enter Kenneth Grant, who, at 340 pounds, will fortify the middle well.

29. Philadelphia Eagles: Jared Ivey (EDGE – Ole Miss)

Bryce Huff has been up and down, so taking Jaden Ivey at least puts some pressure on him to perform. Philadelphia can afford to take a swing here because their roster is one of the deepest in the NFL.

30. Kansas City Chiefs: Jahdae Barron (CB – Texas)

In the event the Chiefs decide against re-signing Joshua Williams, Jahdae Barron gives them a fallback option who could slot in on nickel and dime packages next year.

31. Buffalo Bills: Jack Sawyer (EDGE – Ohio State)

Von Miller isn’t getting any younger and Gregory Rousseau will command big money after next season. Enter Jack Sawyer, who has nine sacks this year and is as NFL-ready as any prospect in the first round.

32. Detroit Lions: Mike Green (EDGE – Marshall)

Detroit has had issues rushing the passer so getting Mike Green, college football’s sack leader in 2024, helps fill a big need. He would join Alim McNeill and Aidan Hutchinson as threats off the edge.
