Thursday’s NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions: Domantas Sabonis, RJ Barrett, Cade Cunningham (12/12)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (12/12)

Domantas Sabonis (C – SAC): 0.5 double doubles

Sabonis is in the midst of another all-star level season, averaging 20.2 points, 12.7 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game. I say level because Sabonis was an alarming snub last season. Sabonis is one of the top centers in the league and has deserved to be there every year he has been in Sacramento. Sabonis had his double double streak broken four games ago, but still leads the NBA and will, in all likelihood, pace the association in that category again. Domantas has recorded a double double in 21 of his 23 games and is in an excellent position to do so again tonight against a New Orleans Pelicans team surrendering an NBA-high 17.40 rebounds per game to the center position. Slap the More on Sabonis for Thursday night basketball.

Pick: More

RJ Barrett (G/F – TOR): 19.5 points (alt line)

RJ has been thriving for the Toronto Raptors this season, averaging 23.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5.8 assists per game, all career highs, with a .462 field goal percentage. A career .436 shooter, RJ may finally be coming into his own for his hometown Raptors. RJ has scored 20 or more points in five of his last seven games and in nine of his last 13. Barrett has found success against the Heat already this season, averaging 31 points per game on the strength of 25 and 37 point performances. Rap the More on RJ Barrett for Thursday night at Sleeper Picks.

Pick: More

Cade Cunningham (G – DET): 19.5 points (alt line)

Cade continues to roll for the Pistons, averaging career highs in points, rebounds, assists, and field goal percentage with a 23.9/7.3/9.4/.455 line. Cade hasn’t started games as hot as he did last season, but that has not affected his scoring output. Cade has scored 20 or more points in each of his last seven games and in 12 of his last 13. Cade has squared off against the Celtics twice this season, dropping 21 and 27 points on them. Clap the More on Cade for Thursday night’s action.

Pick: More

Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
