Week 14 Fantasy Football Start/Sit Advice

Sleepers

Which player outside of the top 100 in the FantasyPros flex rankings is a good sleeper start, and why do you think he has upside this week?

Tre Tucker (WR – LV)

Tre Tucker has led the Raiders receivers in snaps four of the last seven games, averaging over 4.5 targets per game in that time. This week, he goes to Tampa Bay, which is awful against the pass, coming in ranked 2nd in completions, 3rd in yards, 4th in outside WR points allowed (where Tucker lines up), and 7th in TDs.”
Brandon ‘B_Don’ Myers (Razzball)

Keon Coleman (WR – BUF)

Keon Coleman comes in at 102 in the rankings this week, and I love his upside against the Rams. This is a four-star matchup, according to FantasyPros, and we have seen monster performances. The Buffalo Bills are hot and if Coleman returns, he should be in your lineup. Before his wrist injury, he had three straight WR3 weeks, including 2 in the top 16. Amari Cooper will head to Gonzo Island. Keon Coleman could have a big day against New England. They allow the 6th most fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position.”
David Heilman (Sports Gambling Podcast Network)

“Finally healthy (we hope), Keon Coleman has a favorable matchup against the Rams in Week 14. Los Angeles has also allowed a WR touchdown in each of its last six games, so hopefully, Josh Allen can find the rookie in the red zone.”
Matt De Lima (DraftKings)

Jonathon Brooks (RB – CAR)

Jonathon Brooks. The rise from 8% to 21% snap percentage is a good sign from 1 week to the next. The involvement in the passing game is also key for this week, as everyone expects PHI to be up most of the time. I could see Brooks hitting the 10 fantasy point threshold this week.”
Andrew Leduc (That Sports Podcast Network)

Noah Gray (TE – KC)

“The player who is outside of the top 100 in the FantasyPros flex rankings and is a good sleeper start is Noah Gray. In the past three games, Noah Gray has averaged 14.9 fantasy points per game, with 4 TDs. While teams have been focusing on Travis Kelce, Gray has been provided with open opportunities. With six teams on bye weeks in week 14, Gray is a sneaky start this week for your fantasy playoff push.”
Jeff Boggis (Fantasy Football Empire)

Darius Slayton (WR – TB)

Darius Slayton has the same number of 100-yard games this season as Tyreek Hill and CeeDee Lamb combined. Now that’s a fun fact. Although fun, that’s not what makes him a sleeper for this week. Slayton has been an underrated WR for the last few seasons and now faces the Saints’ team, whose secondary are part-time insurance salesmen. Jokes aside, these players are incredibly talented; however, without Marshon Lattimore and Paulson Adebo, even Drew Lock should find success. Last week, Slayton had six targets, making him a sneaky upside play in this matchup.”
Ellis Johnson (RotoBaller)

Dontayvion Wicks (WR – GB)

“Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks is a sneaky sleeper this week. With Romeo Doubs out due to a concussion, Wicks steps into a more prominent role after catching 4 of 5 targets for 30 yards last week. The Lions’ defense has been solid overall. Still, their secondary has been vulnerable, giving up the 6th-most fantasy points to wide receivers. This game has a high 51.5-point total, it’s indoors, and with the Packers likely playing from behind, Wicks could see plenty of opportunities to shine-especially since Matt LaFleur has seen glimpses of Davante Adam’s in Wicks play.”
Tyler Orginski (JWB Fantasy Football)

“WR Dontayvion Wicks / K Cade York Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo? Well, one thing is for sure: he isn’t playing in Detroit this week. Doubs is recovering from a concussion he sustained in week 13. Hopefully, Romeo feels better soon, but in the meantime, I’ll take a shot with WR Dontayvion Wicks in what figures to be a high-scoring game against Detroit. In Cincinnati, the Bengals’ kicker Evan McPherson is injured, so Cade York will replace him. And if Cade can make the field goals there (in Dallas), Ringo thinks he’ll make them anywhere. It’s up to you, Cade York! Cade York!!!! ”

Duds

Which player inside the top 40 in the FantasyPros flex rankings is likely to disappoint fantasy managers this week?

Malik Nabers (WR – NYG)

Malik Nabers has been consistently been finishing as a top 25-30 wide receiver, not overall, at receiver ONLY. The Giants don’t even know which quarterback they want to roll out to throw for under 200 yards this week. Malik is a great talent in a bad spot, and nothing is changing about that for the rest of this season.”
Brandon ‘B_Don’ Myers (Razzball)

D’Andre Swift (RB – CHI)

D’Andre Swift barely cracks the top 40, and you may be forced to play him with six teams on a bye week. I wouldn’t expect much from him, as we have seen him struggle. Swift has only one double-digit performance in the last 5 weeks. Roschon Johnson is culturing touchdowns, and the team is passing the ball at a higher rate.”
David Heilman (Sports Gambling Podcast Network)

D’Andre Swift might disappoint fantasy managers this week. He’s nursing a groin injury and has scored under 12 fantasy points in four of the last five games. With the Bears’ passing game likely taking center stage, Swift’s opportunities could be limited, especially if Travis Homer gets some work. While the matchup isn’t bad, I see this game favoring the air attack more than the ground, leaving Swift with a capped ceiling, something we have seen time and time again.”
Tyler Orginski (JWB Fantasy Football)

Aaron Jones (RB – MIN)

Aaron Jones worries me this week. In recent weeks, he has more weeks closer to a 50% snap percentage than above 75%. In a game that I think will become pass-happy, I could see Jones needing another receiving TD to save his week, similar to this past week.”
Andrew Leduc (That Sports Podcast Network)

Travis Kelce (TE – KC)

Travis Kelce should be on your bench with a negative matchup against the Chargers. LA has only given up one tight end touchdown all year. If you’re streaming a tight end in his place, consider Will Dissly, Mike Gesicki, or Chig Okonkwo.”
Matt De Lima (DraftKings)

Isaac Guerendo (RB – SF)

Isaac Guerendo is a name you probably weren’t expecting to see here. I don’t blame you, if I just spent all my FAAB on a guy just to have some random fantasy “expert” from Canada tell me not to play him, I wouldn’t be thrilled. To steal a line from Forest Gump, 49ers running backs are like a box of chocolates – they’re all good. However, Guerendo is a very different back from CMC and Jordan Mason. Where they thrive with vision and elusiveness, Guerendo relies solely on his athletic ability to make plays. Unless Shanahan reverts to his power gap running from years a go, I don’t think Guerendo will do as well in this current system. As a result, I would gladly play him as a flex, but I wouldn’t expect Jordan Mason production from the rookie. ”
Ellis Johnson (RotoBaller)

Tyrone Tracy (RB – NYG)

“RB Tyrone Tracy Last week, I forgot to give thanks. I’m thankful for many things, such as my health and my family, but the Giants’ offense isn’t one of them. Tracy is a talented player stuck in a bad situation. And without LT Andrew Thomas, the situation is looking bleak. The Giants have scored over 20 points only three times in 12 games.
