Fantasy Football Injury Updates

David Montgomery (knee) suffers MCL injury in loss
David Montgomery (knee) ran for four yards on five carries and caught all four of his targets for 31 yards in the Lions’ 48-42 loss to the Bills on Sunday. He also suffered an MCL injury that could sideline him for the rest of the season.

Fantasy Impact

It’s a massive blow to Montgomery’s fantasy managers in the hunt for championships. Jahmyr Gibbs will now lead the backfield for Detroit, and don’t be surprised if Craig Reynolds gets more involved now.

Patrick Mahomes II (ankle) considered week-to-week
Patrick Mahomes II (ankle) is considered week-to-week for the Kansas City Chiefs according to Ian Rapoport.

Fantasy Impact

Mahomes II suffered the right ankle injury late in the fourth quarter of Kansas City’s 21-7 win over the Browns. Preliminary X-Rays were negative, but fantasy managers will need to check back for further updates as more information becomes available ahead of a Week 16 matchup against the Houston Texans.
