Week 12 is now in the books. There are numerous storylines to track, but perhaps the most significant is the overlooked IDP players who showed out in Week 12. There were a lot of defensive fireworks in Week 12, so there are more than a few intriguing names on the waiver wire in leagues of all sizes. Let’s take a look at some of the names that may be worth some of your free agent budget.

Week 13 IDP Waiver Wire

Linebacker

Kenneth Murray (LB – TEN): 6% rostered on Yahoo
Murray was at it again in Week 12, racking up six solos, one assist, two tackles for loss, one interception, and two passes defended. Murray has caught fire over the last two weeks and is an easy LB2 play going forward. Treat him as such for Week 13 despite no teams being on bye. Start him with confidence as a top-25 option for a plus Week 13 matchup against Washington. Add Murray wherever available.

Josey Jewell (LB – CAR): 5% rostered on Yahoo
Jewell was excellent in Week 12, tallying six solos, three assists, one sack, and one tackle for loss. Jewell has had multiple spike weeks and has been a strong LB2 option when he has been on the field. Treat him as a top-25 option for Week 13 despite the tough on-paper matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Add Jewell wherever possible.

Tyrice Knight (LB – SEA): 1% rostered on Yahoo
Knight continues to impress for the Seahawks, most recently notching five solos, four assists, one sack, and one tackle for loss. Knight has proven why the Seahawks were comfortable releasing Tyrel Dodson with his strong play, and looks like a solid complement for Ernest Jones. Knight is a strong LB3 play for Week 13 and beyond and should be added and started in all competitive leagues.

Jordan Hicks (LB – CLE): 2% rostered on Yahoo
Hicks was excellent in Week 12, tallying two solos, four assists, one sack, and two tackles for loss. Hicks is an LB3/4 option who will have spike weeks thanks to his disruptive presence in both the run and the pass games. Add Hicks as a depth option where needed ahead of a plus Week 14 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Cody Barton (LB – DEN): 5% rostered on Yahoo
Barton was excellent in Week 12, racking up five solos, one assist, 0.5 sacks, and one pass defended. Barton is a boom-or-bust play but has strung together two strong weeks in a row ahead of a plus matchup against the Cleveland Browns. Add and start Barton where needed.

Defensive Line

Nik Bonitto (DE/LB – DEN): 3% rostered on Yahoo
Bonitto continues his breakout season for the Denver Broncos, most recently tallying three solos, one sack, two tackles for loss, and one forced fumble. He is up to 10 sacks on the season and should be rostered universally regardless of league provider. Tap him as a DL1 option for Week 13, thanks to a plus matchup against the Cleveland Browns on Monday Night Football. Make the add everywhere.

Chop Robinson (DE/LB – MIA): 0% rostered on Yahoo
Chop has caught fire for the Dolphins, most recently racking up two solos, two assists, 1.5 sacks, one tackle for loss, and two passes defended. Chop has just 3.5 sacks on the season, but all of them have come in his last four contests. Add Chop wherever possible as a DL3 with DL2 upside.

Zaven Collins (DE/LB – ARI): 3% rostered on Yahoo
Zaven showed up in Week 12, tallying three solos, one sack, one tackle for loss, one forced fumble, and one pass defended. Zaven now has at least one sack in two of his last three games, putting himself in the mix for Week 13, thanks to a plus matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Add and start Collins as a DL3/4/flex where needed.

Tyree Wilson (DE – LV): 0% rostered on Yahoo
Tyree was at it again in Week 12, notching three solos, one assist, one sack, and two tackles for loss. Tyree has just three sacks on the season, but all three have come in his last four contests. Wilson has recorded a sack in back-to-back games and in three of his last four and is finally living up to his potential across from Maxx Crosby. Add Tyree as a DL3/4 for a plus Week 13 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Laiatu Latu (DE – IND): 1% rostered on Yahoo
Latu impressed again in Week 12, racking up two solos, two assists, one sack, one tackle for loss, and one forced fumble. Latu has just four sacks on the season but has now taken down the QB in two straight. Latu is a high-level talent and should be treated as a DL3/4, at least while he is cooking. Add and start Latu where needed as a DL3 option for a plus Week 13 matchup against the New England Patriots.

Defensive Back

Jimmie Ward (S – HOU): 0% rostered on Yahoo
Ward went bonkers in Week 12, exploding for six solos, three tackles for loss, one interception, one pass defended, and one touchdown. Ward has had two spike weeks in his three games since returning from injury and should be treated as an easy DB3 option for Week 13 despite the neutral at best on paper matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Add Ward wherever needed.

Harrison Smith (S – MIN): 6% rostered on Yahoo
Smith was excellent in Week 12, tallying nine solos and two assists. Smith is starting to heat up for the Vikings and is back in the DB2 conversation for Week 13 despite the tough on-paper matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Add Harrison wherever possible.

Grant Delpit (S – CLE): 5% rostered on Yahoo
Delpit showed up in Week 12, notching six solos, four assists, and one tackle for loss. Delpit has recorded five or more solos in four of his last five games, making him one of the more consistent options at the position. This was his first true spike week since Week 3, making him more DB3 than DB2 despite the strong solo numbers. Add and start Delpit where needed as a DB3 option for a plus Week 13 matchup against the Denver Broncos.

Xavier Woods (S – CAR): 4% rostered on Yahoo
Woods was excellent in Week 12, racking up seven solos, one assist, one tackle for loss, and one pass defended. Woods has started to heat back up for the Panthers and should be counted as a DB2 option now that he is back into the swing of things. Add and start Woods wherever possible.

Tyler Nubin (S – NYG): 3% rostered on Yahoo
Nubin went off in Week 12, tallying five solos, seven assists, and one pass defended. The rookie has been inconsistent but has now stacked back-to-back DB1-level outings together, highlighting his upside. He is a top-25 option for Week 13 but has a lower floor than most. Fire him up with confidence for the plus matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Add and start Nubin where possible.
