Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.
NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (11/19)
Donovan Mitchell (G – CLE): 6.5 1st quarter points
Donovan should be rearing to go after sitting out (rest) Sunday’s victory over the Charlotte Hornets. Mitchell’s fast starts have been a driving force behind the Cavaliers 15-0 start. Donovan has scored seven or more first quarter points in five of his last seven and in eight of his last 11. Dap the More on Donovan for Tuesday night basketball.
Pick: More
Lauri Markkanen (F – UTA): 1.5 steals + blocks
For one reason or another, this line is still available at Sleeper Picks. Markkanen is streaky in swipes and is a poor shot blocker, especially when his length is taken into account. Lauri registered back-to-back two steal games, prompting this line to hit the board, but has recorded just one steal in the four games since. The low multiplier reflects the high hit probability. Light up the Less on Lauri for Tuesday night at Sleeper Picks.
Pick: Less
Jaylen Brown (G/F – BOS): 19.5 points (alt line)
Brown continues his excellent play for the Celtics, averaging 25.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. His shooting percentage has been putrid, however, so he could threaten his career-high scoring average once he settles in and his percentage moves closer to the mean. Jaylen has sired 20 or more points in nine of his 10 games this season and has an excellent opportunity to do so again tonight against a Cleveland Cavaliers team allowing 20.73 points per game to opposing small forwards.
Pick: More
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
