Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.
NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (11/14)
Kyrie Irving (G – DAL): 19.5 points (alt line)
Kyrie has been filling it up for the Mavericks this season, averaging 25.2 points per game. He has scored 21 or more points in eight of his 11 contests and is in an excellent position to do so again tonight against a Jazz team surrendering 23.15 points per game to the point guard position. Kyrie scored 23 against the Jazz in late October. Hit the More on Kyrie for Thursday night basketball.
Pick: More
Keyonte George (G – UTA): 3.5 assists (alt line)
George has had a strong start to the season for the Jazz, averaging 14.9 points and 6.1 assists per game. He has crashed back to earth since his career night against the Bulls but should still be able to hit the More on this alt line number. George has recorded four or more assists in seven of his nine games this season and is facing a Mavericks team relinquishing 8.59 assists per game to opposing point guards. Grab the More on George for Thursday night at Sleeper Picks.
Pick: More
Lauri Markkanen (F – UTA): 1.5 steals + blocks
One of our favorite lines from last season is back on the board, thanks to Lauri managing two swipes in two straight games. The steal line is posted at 0.5, but the StOcks line is at 1.5, even though Lauri rarely blocks shots (despite his length). Markkanen has recorded two or more StOcks just twice for the season (in seven games played). He registered zero StOcks against the Mavericks in their first meeting this year. Light up the More on Lauri for Thursday night’s action.
Pick: More
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
