Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s newest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We will break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular season-long fantasy platforms, and they are expanding into other areas based on demand. Each week in this space, we’ll talk about some strategy for the new platform while providing our favorite NBA more/less picks.
NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (11/22)
Domantas Sabonis (C – SAC): 0.5 double doubles
Sabonis is set to return from a three game layoff due to a back injury and should continue right where he left off in terms of being a walking double double. The reigning double double and triple double king has recorded at least 10 and 10 in 12 straight games and is set to make a run at the NBA all-time record 77 that he registered last season. Domantas posted 23 points and 12 rebounds against the Clippers earlier this month. Slap the More on Sabonis for Friday night basketball.
Pick: More
Kyrie Irving (G – DAL): 19.5 points (alt line)
Kyrie scored just 18 points the last time out, playing just 27 minutes and hoisting just 11 shots. Kyrie has scored 20 or more points in 10 of his 14 games this season and is in a fantastic position to do so again against a Denver Nuggets team he dropped 43 points on less than two weeks ago. The head-to-head data is great, but the 24.5 total makes no sense, given he hasn’t hit that mark in four games. Take the alt line for the win. Hit the More on Kyrie for Friday night at Sleeper Picks.
Pick: More
Tyrese Maxey (G – PHI): 3.5 1st quarter points
Maxey played just 19 minutes in his first game back from the hamstring injury but should be closer to his normal workload tonight. The first quarter line almost feels like an error, but it makes sense, given his limited action his last time out. Tyrese has recorded four or more first quarter points in seven of his eight games this season. Mash the More on Maxey for Friday night’s action.
Pick: More
Writers note: The lines are constantly changing on Sleeper (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high probability that one or all of the numbers may no longer be the same when you open your app. There are excellent values when they are first posted, with the only catch being that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
