Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Stashes Ahead of Week 13
Drake Maye (QB – NE): 16% Rostered
With the first bye-pocalypse of the year in full effect, it’s slightly surprising that Drake Maye is only 16% rostered. Maye plays an up-and-down Miami defense this week before taking on the Colts at home in Week 13, who are far more down than up. Maye has been a top-15 QB in four of his six starts this year, averaging 41.3 rushing yards and 16.2 points. Starting Maye against the Dolphins might be tricky, with them allowing the third-fewest QB fantasy points, but the Colts allow the ninth-most and have allowed three different QBs to rush for 40 or more yards against them.
Drake Maye is averaging 238 passing yards and 40 rushing yards per game in his five full starts this season.
QBs with 230+ passing and 40+ rushing yards/game in a season in NFL history:
Josh Allen
Lamar Jackson
Jalen Hurts
Cam Newton
Kyler Murray
Mike Vick

Derek Carr (QB – NO): 13% Rostered
When the Saints return from their current bye week, Derek Carr will play the LA Rams and then the New York Giants, neither of whom has a formidable defense, with the Rams 22nd in pass defense DVOA and the Giants 24th. Carr, for his part, has been a top 15 QB in each of the last two games, despite Taysom Hill trying to score every fantasy point by himself. Carr is consistently finding ways to produce even without Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed being on the field, and with reasonable matchups ahead, it’s worth considering if Carr could be a perfect Week 14 bye-week fill-in for you.
Tank Bigsby (RB – JAX): 41% Rostered
The last few weeks haven’t been as fun for Tank Bigsby as the season’s opening, when his explosivity and surprise element was making him a must-roster player. Now, after two straight finishes outside the top 50 running backs and missing Week 11, Bigsby is dropping to waivers left, right, and center. With the Jaguars season fast approaching irrelevancy, there’s every chance that veterans like Travis Etienne start to play less. We saw this last year with Josh Jacobs in Las Vegas, if you don’t have a decent contract and the team is going nowhere, why risk it? Bigsby returned to practice this week and with games coming up against the Titans, Jets and Raiders, he’s worth adding if you can spare the spot.
Trey Benson (RB – ARI): 27% Rostered
Another running back who is worth a speculative add is Trey Benson. The Cardinals are returning from their bye week, and while James Conner has played well, he has gotten banged up at times in recent weeks allowing Benson to see a greater number of snaps. It’s not uncommon for rookies to see more work coming out of their bye weeks, and the Cardinals have a fun playoff schedule for running backs with them playing New England, Carolina and the LA Rams, who all struggle to defend the run. Benson has had over 55 total yards in both of his last two games and could be flex-worthy as it is, should anything happen to Conner, who has never played more than 13 games, then it truly wheels up for Benson.
Cardinals RB Trey Benson had 12 touches and a career-high 87 yards in week 10. Showing off that explosive play ability and contact balance that made him the 2nd RB selected in the draft. pic.twitter.com/V2Yd8Flbvo

Wan’Dale Robinson (WR – NYG): 47% Rostered
The Giants have plenty of changes underway with Daniel Jones released and the team once again turning to Tommy DeVito and perhaps Wan’Dale Robinson can benefit having played with Devito in 2023. When Devito was in the lineup, Robinson averaged 8.1 PPR points, which isn’t fantastic, but it isn’t nothing either. Devito completed 67% of his passes in 2023 with an average depth of target (aDOT) of 7.4; his biggest issue was sacks, averaging 6.0 taken per game. Those sacks keep an offense in pass-heavy scripts, which is good news, and the competency in the passing game is enough to keep Malik Nabers and Wan’Dale Robinson in business with games coming up against Dallas, New Orleans and Baltimore.
Xavier Legette (WR – CAR): 27% Rostered
Over the last four games, Xavier Legette has become a key part of the Panthers offense with a 19% target share, and he’s earned Bryce Young‘s trust while the team recorded back-to-back wins. The Panthers play Tampa Bay twice in the remaining weeks, who’ve struggled to stop the pass all year, and the Panthers also play the Cowboys, whose season is best described as disappointing, to say the least. Legette has been a top-36 WR in three of his last five games and has scored touchdowns in two of the last three. That kind of fantasy production is flex-worthy, particularly with the bye weeks being what they are.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling (WR – NO): 25% Rostered
After Marquez Valdes-Scantling‘s Week 10 blow-up game for the Saints where he scored 25.9 PPR points, it seemed a little too ‘points-chasey’ to suggest him being worth rostering when we have a long history of MVS failing to find consistency. Then, in Week 11, Valdes-Scantling saw four targets, catching two for 87 yards and a touchdown in the win over Cleveland. After two fantasy-relevant performances, it feels like we have to take notice of what MVS is doing in this depleted wide receiver room in New Orleans. In Weeks 13 and 14, the Saints play the Rams and the Giants, who both rank outside the top-20 in pass defense DVOA. Don’t be surprised if MVS hits big once again.

Will Dissly (TE – LAC): 48% Rostered
In four of the last five games, Will Dissly has seen six or more targets, with the Charger starting to heat up at the right time of the year. Dissly has also notched up 41 or more yards in three of those games, proving that he can produce a floor without touchdowns. The Chargers have upcoming games against the Ravens, Falcons, Chiefs and Buccaneers, all of which are positive matchups for passing games, and while Dissly’s ceiling isn’t terribly high, he has a defined role that can be useful for fantasy football.
Hunter Henry (TE – NE): 45% Rostered
The Patriots re-signed Hunter Henry early this offseason, signaling that he’d be a large part of their short-term plans, and Henry has delivered. Since Drake Maye entered the starting lineup and elevated the quality of the passing game, Maye has been the TE10 and finished as a top-10 TE in four of his six games with Maye at QB. Impressively, Henry is doing this despite only scoring a single touchdown this year, and if positive regression can find its way to Henry, he can be a really valuable fantasy player.
Arizona Cardinals (D/ST): 13% Rostered
The Cardinals are coming off their bye week before facing a run of three games where they play the Seahawks twice and the Vikings in between. On paper, none of those matchups scream fantasy points, but the Cardinals have been on an upswing lately, bringing pressure at a very high rate and playing above their name recognition as they’ve scored double-digit fantasy points in three of the last four games. Neither the Seahawks or Vikings have looked particularly assured lately and the Cardinals represent a worthwhile pickup.
