Fantasy Football Trade Advice

Christian Watson (WR – GB)

Christian Watson was the WR10 in Week 11, totaling 17 half-PPR fantasy points. However, he was the WR78 over the first 10 weeks, averaging 5.6 fantasy points per game, scoring 8.8 or fewer in all but one contest. Last week, the third-year pro had only four targets against the Chicago Bears after seeing at least six in each of the previous two games. Yet, Watson finished with four receptions for 150 receiving yards, averaging 4.3 fantasy points per target. By comparison, he had averaged 1.7 fantasy points per game before last week’s contest. If the receiver is still on your roster, now is the time to sell high. I would happily flip Watson for Cedric Tillman.”

Jaxon Smith-Njigba (WR – SEA)

Jaxon Smith-Njigba has wreaked havoc over the past two games with 290 yards and two touchdowns on 24 targets. However, the Seahawks were without DK Metcalf in Week 9 and have a brutal schedule of pass defenses in the fantasy playoffs. While it is fair to say that Smith-Njigba has usurped Tyler Lockett in the Seahawks’ pecking order, Lockett is still present while Noah Fant‘s return looms. Also, none of their playoff matchups are indoors, while Week 17 is in Chicago, which should be windy with potential precipitation. ”

Taysom Hill (TE – NO)

“After a huge week that saw Taysom Hill record 188 yards of offense with three TDs, he is a must-sell at this trade deadline. Hill brings appeal because of how he is used as a passer, as a receiver, and as a runner, but this was the definition of a blow-up game for Hill. Hill this season had not recorded more than 100 yards of total offense prior to Week 11, and his usage will change week-by-week. If any manager could secure a fringe WR2 or fringe RB2, such as Ladd McConkey or Tony Pollard, in any Hill deal, that should be a very easy yes to make.”
Ed Birdsall (Talking Points Sports)

“Somewhere in your league, there is a manager who is in desperate need of an elite tight end and believes that Taysom Hill is the answer to their prayers after a 40-point Week 11. He isn’t the answer, so now is the time to find that manager and sell quickly. This happens every year when Hill puts up a monster week that keeps him in the Top 10 at tight end before he disappears back into obscurity. Week 11 will go down as the best performance of his season and likely his last usable week of the year. Find the manager who needs him and sell him for any player you can confidently Flex for the rest of the season. I won’t name any specific players I would be willing to trade him for because the list of players I wouldn’t trade him for is far shorter.”
